The Mike Vernon interview is great. Can't recall if I have ever heard an interview from him. Some good insight into his playing days.

Seems like they filmed the Vernon interview months ago and only released it now. Just watched the clip about Conroy. Vernon references that he wants to get ready for the draft and get his coach. ??? lol

They filmed all of them early. Stajan's talked about Travis Green maybe being coach.

Really enjoyed the Vernon interview. He seems like a humble and easy-going guy. I was interested in how he described the pressure on the late 80’s / early 90’s teams and the disappointment they felt in letting the City down. Also crazy to hear how his time in Calgary ended in a shouting match with Risebrough. He has not gotten over that.
I think he was holding back on some of behind-the-scenes partying and stuff.

But still a great interview with insight to the rise and fall of a Cup-winning team.

I won't lie, I got pretty emotional with the Stajan interview. It was a tough but rewarding listen. You have to appreciate what you have, and that really came across.

Climbed down off the ladder from cleaning gutters, went inside and hugged the family. Had my airpods in so they had no idea what the hey was going on.

Love/hate the insight into Hartley. Safe to say he had many of us fooled with his great PR skills. He brought about one of the most fun seasons in team history. But seems like he also ripped the team apart at a vital time during the rebuild and was a jackass most of the time.
The Jack Adams trophy really is a kiss of death for this team. Seems to go right to the coach's head.

The thing is none of this is new. This has been the reputation he's had for a long time. Great PR, horrible behind the scenes.

Realy enjoyed the Glencross interview as well, especially when talking about his route to the NHL via Alaska.Haven't got around to the Stajan interview yet but sounds like its another goody.

It's not new, but rumors are just that; rumors until it's back up by a reliable source. Nobody more reliable than those in the locker rooms. These interviews are a godsend. Love hearing people get called out in public like that, wish more former players did it.

A few players did vis-a-vis Hartley but they were dismissed as malconents or fringe players.

That 14/15 season with Hartley and making the playoffs seems like the gift and the curse.
Such a fun team and run but we also were pegged to be in the McDavid sweepstakes and got another season of Hartley who seemed to really let loose on the team and culture which took a long time to repair.

I’d say Glencross is about as reliable as it gets. Seems like a straight shooter.

I think that's fair. He was done.

Doesn't change the fact that it's another log on the "Hartley was a POS" fire though.

I agree, it doesn’t change that at all

Adds a disgruntled vet who didn’t like the guy brought in to blow up the country club, of which he was a card carrying member

I listened to the Vernon interviews today. Favorite part is when he gets accused of being at the H.A. clubhouse and tells Freddy Braithwaite about it and Freddy's response is "I didn't see you there."
