Thanks. I had it on PVR.
The more LIV I watch, the more I feel the PGA tour got this all wrong.
There absolutely is room for team golf in the LIV format in the fall.

Read an article on that last week, really unfortunate. Not "right after the Open" unfortunate, but having an elavated event, a major then another elevated event all proceeding the Canadian Open is going to make it next to impossible to attract anyone that doesn't have to be there due to sponsors.
At least leading into the US Open you got some stars that wanted to be warm heading into a major, or needed to work things out. Now the memorial takes all those players. Plus the PGA Championship two weeks earlier. The tour really sandwiched them in as a miss week.

LIV could really open it up and go with team play and match play. Get away from PGA stroke play week in and week out. They could even start plucking stars from the LPGA and have some mixed matches too.
Say for example (I'm stealing this from another sport nobody here watches and could never guess). Say you have 5 men and 2 women on one team. Each 'series' is 5 matches, shotgun start, 9 hole match play + sudden death playoff.
1: mens singles (match play)
2: womens singles (match play)
3: mens singles (skins)
4: mixed doubles (alternate shot)
5: mens doubles (alternate shot)
You have to divide your men and women properly. You could have 2 or 3 'series' on the course at the same time and 9 holes only takes 2+ hours.

I don’t see anyone caring about adding up scores of randomly assisgned groups of people representing no one but themselves.
But it would give FIGJAM something else to bet on.

No one cared about the World Cup of Golf, no one cared about the Shark Shootout, pretty much no one cares about the Presidents Cup even. Ironically, without a merger a LIV/PGA team competition might have drawn some interest. But significantly caring about team golf comes down to the Ryder Cup, and the Ryder Cup only. I just cannot see anyone caring about team golf on any meaningful level.

It's looking like the 5 Canadians are all locked in to the BMW.
Top 50 in FedEx gets you into pretty much everything next year in terms of Signature events and the invitationals (API and Jack's place).
Those guys sure picked a good year to deliver the goods.

Sloppy double from Hadwin on 18 drops him from T2 to T6.
Had quite the round going before then.

I feel like I jinxed him, but at the same time had no expectation that he'd play like a moron on the weekend.

Yeah he was the worst golfer on the course Saturday so he has himself to blame unfortunately.

Finishing 51st is a pretty bitter pill for him to swallow. Being close doesn't get him any status into the designated events. He just has to compete for the other spots with everyone else based on next year's results.

It's pretty bad actually, he effectively is playing for one of twenty spots in next year's playoffs.

He was on the radio and if he stays in the group from 51-60 he gets into Pebble and Riviera, so expect to see him playing more fall events that he would normally.

So two Canadians going to east lake. Conners at 25 and Taylor at 16. Taylor played atrocious this week, hopefully he can shake it off.

Scheffler in the exact same spot as last year. That guy would win 10 times a year if his putting matched the rest of his game.
