Looks like that is the case. Production company says it's a coincidence since that's a location close to Nashville popular for music videos. Aldean says he didn't decide the location.
“There is not a single lyric in the song that references race or points to it — and there isn’t a single video clip that isn’t real news footage — and while I can try and respect others to have their own interpretation of a song with music, this one goes too far,” Aldean wrote.

Having never heard that song before... What the ever loving #### was that ####. Not withstanding the fact that is awful music, has he ever set foot inside a small town in America, because they are not the last bastion of freedom against the gun thieven government but they are usually impoverished uneducated places with crumbling infrastructure and social decay.
