If Schneider can play some decent OF, fitting him into the lineup on a regular basis will be a whole lot easier. They can also have him pinch hit for Biggio/Varsho/Kiermaier against lefties or pinch run for Kirk.

The lineup is getting eaten up by Gavin Williams but Ryu has looked pretty solid against a less potent lineup than he faced last time.

Damn. Can't be running into outs like that the way he's pitching. Danny must've thought the ball bounced further than that.

Oh ####. That caught him right on the inside of the knee. Horrible luck after fighting his way back from Tommy John. Not to mention he's spinning an absolute gem.

Oh no. Ryu was looking so good. The inning would have been over a batter earlier if the obvious strike was called.

Good that he's walking off there.

I don’t think it was the impact of the ball that caused it.

I don't think so either. In the replay, it looked like he was wincing before the ball hit him. Hopefully he was wincing in anticipation of the ball hitting him.

Ryu is a warrior. Hope to see him back soon - the 6 man rotation could buy him an extra day of rest, if it is a contusion.

De Jong was jogging that one out when it could have very well dropped in and resulted in a double or triple for a guy on his horse.

Almost let a guy reach earlier on a routine grounder by taking his time.

Not a fan of this guy early days.

It would be nice if the Guardians would stop hitting hot shots back at the pitcher…
