I really like Spittin Chiclets. Sometimes I skip the dumb banter, especially during the offseason, but the actual interviews are almost always excellent, and they get guests you don't necessarily expect. I hope they get Iginla sometime, now that he's working with the Flames and seems to be more publicly available to chat.

Spittin Chiclets is great. But seems like lots on this forum don’t like the bro-bro podcasts lol. And yes nearly all their interviews are top notch, with stories you’ll never hear elsewhere.

Oh it's just awful. If you don't follow them regularly and you happen to catch a tiktok or video clip of them golfing or doing something they think is funny you literally think they're doing a caricature of every awful frat boy, dude bro on earth. But it's actually them being themselves.

I don't mind it, it just isn't a must listen and as a time saver I skip through to the interview fairly frequently. I prefer Barn Burner's style of banter by a bit though as well.

I always thought they should have Rhett on. Some of the amazing stories he has told on Barn Burner and 960 should have a wider audience.

and yet I'm not sure Rhett would want that consider the regret he sometimes has haha

Love spittin chiclets. Bro culture is alive! I miss the older version when they were completely offside with locker room talk and exploit stories.

I could do without the murls gambling info and the boston accents are hard to listen to sometimes, but they have hilarious stories and superb interviews. They interview Charles Barkley for goodness sake. That is worth a listen for anyone.

Default Miikka Kiprusoff stories on Spittin Chiclets interivew with Brian Boucher

Speaking of Chiclets, Looch was on today.

Nothing groundbreaking on the Flames front, but again says he loved Calgary and especially how the fans instantly embraced him after the trade. He remembers getting “Looch” chants when he didn’t even have the puck and was just in on the forecheck and he loved it.

Said most guys on the 21-22 team are still kicking themselves for not reaching their potential as a group. There was a belief that they could go all the way that season.

Flames opened up the game way too much against Edmonton. Worst thing happened was winning game one 9-6 because it made them think they could play that way against Edmonton and they lost their heads and their cool.

Said the series was just so uncharacteristic of how they played all year and that there was a lack of adjustments.

Markstrom is great guy that likes to have a lot of fun, but also works his ass off. His tough season wasn’t from lack of effort, but probably from trying too hard. Thinks he will a great bounce back season.

Apparently there were times they would be tied 0-0 after 1 and Sutter would come into the room and say “Vladar hope you’re ready to go” even though Markstrom hadn’t given up a goal.

Sounds like Looch really liked Darryl, but mentioned that style of coaching can wear on you at times. Says his x’s and o’s and ability to break the other team down is the best that he’s ever seen.

Sutter would have writing all of the white boards before the players arrived at the rink so Lucic, Toffoli, Tanev, and Lewis would grab coffees and try to decipher what it all meant before the meeting.

Biggest thing lacking from Sutter was the ability to motivate guys and lighten it up a bit- especially for the younger players.

Weegar and Toffoli had gotten calls to go play at the World Championships so Looch called Doug Armstrong himself and told him he wanted to be on the team.

Looch had lots of discussions with Chicago and Treliving also showed some interest, but Looch said it would have been tough for him being a Leaf haha.

Sounds like they interviewed Toffoli too, so that should be dropping in the coming weeks.

I think those Loooch chants on the forecheck actually had defencemen looking over their shoulders.

Looch still thinks a good game - his body just couldn't make it happen, plus the game got faster. He'd be a good coach.
