And the remote possibility, however slight, of this being the case is what makes it a tantalizing subject to explore right now.
For myself at least, I'm not banking on any if it being true, but that small possibility that exists that one of these many statements made by these seemingly credible witnesses turns out to be real, makes it worth following. And if this can all be falsified, I'm almost just as fascinating to know who was lied to, and how and why they were deceived (cover-up, etc).

Nah, the rest of you can sit on the outside and start your own thread then, featuring themes of anger towards the other thread, negativity, frowning, neutral facial expressions, cardboard, grey walls and crossed arms.

I think it was Weinstein that highlighted 3 possibilities:
1. A bunch of high ranking and formerly high ranking military personnel with legit world altering responsibilities are purposely lying about the existence of aliens/ physics defying craft/ technological capabilities for who knows what reason, and have been lying/misappropriating funds for years for this reason with no oversight.
2. A bunch of high ranking and formerly high ranking military personnel with legit world altering responsibilities are gullible enough to be seriously mislead about all of the above and are easy to fool. This has allowed other people to seriously misappropriate taxpayer funds for decades with no oversight.
3. Non-human intelligence exists
All of these are stories worthy of intense scrutiny and investigation.

I said it already but this is one of the more fascinating parts to me. There seems to be a blurry line that “open minds” are unwilling to cross. What we’re talking about is unexplained events/objects that are not easily explained by common or (public) military knowledge. You would think that any hypothesis would be equally scrutinized by sceptics and, likewise, any hypothesis would be equally celebrated by those with “open minds.” While the former seems true, I’ve noticed that the latter is not. Hypotheses outside “alien life” rarely garner any real or sustained attention, while even hypotheses that DO accept “alien life” as a possibility but push the boundaries of the sci if/fantasy/human-centric version of alien life commonly found in fiction suddenly trigger “open minds” into scrutiny mode, or outright mocking.
Guys like Ozy are fun because they’re game for any conclusion. Guys like Jiggy annd Dion are fun because they enjoy all sides of it. Guys like Muta, Trent, and Lanny are mostly just annoying because they spend most of their time whining about people not acting how they want or mocking anyone that questions them and then whining when they get the same thing in return.
It’s a convo about unexplained objects. How can anyone feel personally offended when someone tries to poke holes in outlandish theories over what they could be unless they have some personal investment in them being what they believe they are? That’s not having an open mind lol.

To each their own, but devoting that much of your finite existence to discouraging the exchange of thoughts and ideas seems like a waste of time with no redeeming value. In all that time spent, you could be adding value to the world in some way, or at least be participating in constructive discussions. But instead these individuals choose to waste it, for what amounts to what i would gather is fleeting petty pleasure.
|
Yeah it’s a complete mystery, all these wasted opportunities for constructive discussion derailed by fleeting pleasures.

So arrogant of us to assume that genders work the same for them. Never assume genders.

Pepsi, honestly dude, guys like you are annoying because all you do in this thread is assume that people that want to discuss this topic with an open mind are idiots for not being on the same wavelength as you, which, when your extremely long-winded posts pop up, almost always prove to be the case. You post the same, predictable, self-gratifying schlock to pat yourself on the back with. Honestly, it's become insufferable.
If you've bothered to go back in this thread (like, at all), I've stated numerous times all opinions are welcome and that's the beauty of this subject. Funny how you don't pay attention to that. That was the case then, and still is the case now, and always will be. Instead, you're more interested in how your posts sound to you, and I'm not sure why. You go after posters who like this topic and may consider all possibilities, or you post low-quality retorts with stuff like referring to mental health help lines, mocking a real, valuable and serious service in the process.
I can absolutely do better in this thread, and am not afraid to admit that. Sometimes this thread brings out the frustrations in people. I suggest to be a better poster for the benefit of discussion and discourse, you do the same.

Except I think the people interested in this discussion don't care about me calling out the derailers (after their mocking of the discussion). And you're certainly not offended, you're just getting off on calling out what you deem is hyprocrisy. We get it, it's always been your thing.
How much time did you spend compiling those quote? I've come to appreciate your posts elsewhere, but jesus that's just a waste of time.
Half of those posts I was just being facetious. I guess that wasn't obvious. Maybe because I knew somewhere down the line you'd be collecting evidence for some meaningless point you're trying to make for people that don't really care that much. A little disappointing that you'd let me waste your time like that. You'll never get it back.
A person with your penchant for calling people out on BS and holding people accountable should really use that talent on something that actually matters, because you're actually quite good at it. But this is just wasteful.

It’s good to recognize the need to be better. But the best of both worlds if you can tag it on to one (last?) rant about someone else. The number hasn’t changed, FYI.

This response proves my previous post exactly. Read the last sentence in post #1948 again. Be better, Pepsi - you're definitely capable of it.

I actually believe #1 is true, but I also think that some of these companies have created high-end tech that they're hiding behind some obscure black wall.
At the same time I don't find it ignorant to think non-human life might exist. Universe is big.
I just know that nobody should trust the US government, and NOBODY should trust the military industrial complex to not have been pulling shenanigans for the past 75 years and now trying to deflect it all and cover their ass.

I love when people say that unironically. It drips of so much condescension, but the guy saying it is always so oblivious to that hah.

The thing about the hidden human tech thing is that these sighting have been going on for a long time, and you'd assume some of this teach would have made its way to military applications by now. If the USA, for example, had tech that was lightyears ahead of the rest of the world, you'd assume we'd be getting some version of it in the field by now. The USA would love nothing more than to show Russia they have no hope of winning a war.
If the tech isn't American, you'd assume someone would have used it to put America in their place by now.

You assume that it is the US military that is in control of this tech, and not private companies who are hiding it.

Assuming the US military can't just go and take tech, then why haven't the companies found a way to profit from the tech yet? What kind of corporations just put a crapload of money into R&D and then don't profit off the investment.
