So...what are the best energy generation company stocks to buy in Alberta? May as well get in on the profiteering.

The Opposition NDP has released lobbying records that show the Alberta government is in talks to buy out DynaLIFE Medical Labs, which was given a provincial lab services contract late last year.
“AHS is exploring the long-term delivery of these services over the next decade and is engaging DynaLIFE as the incumbent provider and as a stakeholder in the proposed changes,” the records released by NDP say.
“This decision includes the option of acquiring DynaLIFE and integrating it into AHS operations or continuing a contractual model structure.”

Quote:
“After wasting millions of Albertans’ tax dollars to blow up the public lab, the UCP gave the whole thing to a private company who now wants the taxpayer to buy it back from them,” said Alberta NDP Leader Rachel Notley.

LO ####ing L.
Only the finest fiscal conservatism in action here, folks. So unreal I can't help but laugh at the failure of it all. Thanks, NDP, you really ####ed this one up.

Maybe we could send DynaLife to Sunday School and get this all sorted out?
Sadly this is par for the course in Alberta. A similar story was after selling the Holy Cross hospital to some cronies for a few million, they had the government pay tens of millions for upgrades so AHS could lease back space.
But it’s only the taxpayers who come out as losers in such deals, so no big deal there. A small sacrifice to ensure some party donors and friends get enriched.

The myth of conservatives being fiscal stewards needs to die. They are absolutely terrible with money and financial planning.

The only thing they have in common is that they work out of the same building.

Yes, and one of the few ways to change that is to consider voting for the other party from time-to-time instead of cheering for them like sports teams.

Do you think people should consider voting for the Liberals even if they don't align with their views? Just to potentially, maybe get them to consider Alberta more?
This is what always got me about people saying these things in the past. I didn't vote for the Conservatives/Reform/Alliance etc. because they were "blue" I did because their policies aligned with my views. Now for this upcoming election I likely will not because they have changed.
I think too often people get confused and blame people for voting like sports teams when that is not the case at all.

I guess like most complicated things it's a bit of a balance and requires some nuance?

It's one thing to accuse someone blindly, it's another when the person has clearly demonstrated through discussion with them that they are voting like they cheer for sports teams and not for policy.
I've had way too many conversations where people develop a stammering problem when you actually confront them with the realities of the party they support.

Always amusing to see libertarian conservatives step in and demand the government interfere in the free market. "Force them back to work!" the champion of freedom hollered.

Is she unaware that they’re not currently on strike nor have they issued strike notice since rejecting the deal?

That is good you vote based on policies. I do as well. In Alberta many, many voters do not vote based on policy, but party color. This current Aberta government is not Conservative. As others have said, they are Libertarians. It is difficult to label them as they are far more right than even Wildrose. Buckle up the "UCP" are just getting started. This group of UCP'ers are truly amateurs and extreme. Many Albertan's will be harmed by their policies.

I think historically this hasn't been the case. I know many Liberal/NDP supporters find it hard to believe which is why we heard so much about people should stop voting for team colors, when that likely wasn't the issue at all.
That was always my issue with people saying you should try voting for a different party (Liberals) so that the party will look at your province. Voting for a party that doesn't not align with you views in the tiny hope it will make them run the country in a proper way makes no sense to me.
I do agree now that the federal Conservatives and provincial UCP have moved away from traditional 'conservative" views people should look at voting based on policies not just team colors.

If the UCP don't align with your views as a traditional conservative, why would you vote for them?
