These people are nosey and looking for drama, period.

Client "We are going to XYZ in ABC time so you need to build you service offering to us based on that. That is our expectation and we aren't interested in hearing anything different"
UCB "OK, I'll make it happen"
Client does the exact opposite of XYZ in ABC time and wants to know why the service offering if ####ed up.

Uhh, I'm pretty sure it's intentional.
Those people are trying to prove they are in tune with everything going on around them. They know you're there and if you don't speak up, the other person they are speaking with assumes it's completely accurate. They also have the option of confirming with you, but they're sorta not wasting your time with redundancy thing as well.
The thing is, if you start speaking up, they'll migrate the conversation away from you more often.
"Oh, let's get pizza for the office"
"Sure. TCI doesn't like mushrooms."
*glances* "Good to know. We can get him Hawaiian"
Narrator: "TCI actually doesn't like pineapple on pizza, but he said nothing."

I'm here at the Minneapolis airport for my flight home to Calgary. They just announced that my flight is being delayed by 3 1/2 hours. Ohhh joy!

That sucks but on the bright side MSP is one of the nicest airports with some of the best amenities. I don't know if you can get access to the PGA lounge but they have a putting green to kill some time.

It is a nice airport. I'm sitting here listening to David Billingsley play the piano. He is the founder and executive director of the Billingsley school of music and arts. He's also formerly the background singer for Stoklely, formerly of Grammy nominated R@B group, Mint Condition.
I will check out the PGA lounge as it is near me

I usually try and pump myself full of Dayquil to enjoy the day and then deal with the consequences later. I also would drink as much water as possible.
Go out, UV sanitize germs and try and sweat out the bad stuff.

If it's only 3-1/2 hours, count yourself lucky.

The flight crew will "time out" if we're not off the gate by 5:38, per the cap'n, so at this point I think it's a foregone conclusion my flight will be cancelled.

Newark is still far and away the most ####ed airport in the world, but Chicago-O'Hare, Houston and Denver are also bad. All big United hubs.
The problem for the Calgary flights out of IAD has been flight crew availability. Flight attendants and pilots are "timing out"—hitting their max working hours—just waiting around for complete crews to fill out planes and go. As flights keep getting cancelled it means flight crews aren't where they're supposed to be either.

I got delayed a cumulative 72 hours.

Reading the news, what RGMG is writers using the phrase "[X event] could happen as soon as [today/ this week/this year]." I mean, if you could find a way to make the event happen in the past, that would be impressive but I don't think that's a real possibility.

This is the kind of thing that is scaring me off booking a trip.
The last 3 trips I've been on have all been nightmares for delays, re-routes, lost luggage, on and on it goes.
Airlines and Airports need to get their heads out of their asses and sort their $### out!

It just seems like FUBAR is the 'new normal' for air travel and thats just not acceptable.

ATC is also the cause of many of the delays this year, both in Canada and in the US. And there's always weather that messes things up, particularly in the afternoons.

I cannot enjoy a stopover or anything like that. If its a 4 hour one, I NEEED to be near the gate, I am bizarre that way. If I have a destination I need to spend 100% of my efforts getting there. If there was a supermodel free sex emporium, I would have to get to the gate. I hate that I am like that. I need to establish a home base of some sort. The thought of a backpacking trip to Europe makes my skin crawl, but I totally recognize I am fataed.

Oblivious people who walk in the middle of the sidewalk are GMG today. Look, I realize that you seem to feel that you are the sole soul in existence on this planet, but you actually aren't.
