Sounds like this will be a big cabinet shuffle with Multiple Ministers losing their seat at the cabinet table. There's also word that quite a few of the 2015 class of MP's will not be standing up for the next election. Carolyn Bennett being the first one announcing today that she won't run in the next election.

I was not specifically addressing you, just the concept that Trudeau and the Liberals are a bunch of slimy bastards, but we cant universally blame them for everything.

How about Doctorfever's linked Sun editorial that blames the Liberals for Paul Bernardo being transferred to a medium-security institution because they're not "tough on crime"?

Well, you brought CERB into the conversation and the conversation revolves around pandemic spending, so I'm not sure why you're struggling with how anyone could POSSIBLY comment on it in the context of that conversation.

Not every post is a reply to a specific comment.

Jacks just sounds like the online version of that tough guy that wants to instigate a fight with a protestor on the other side, get's in their face demanding someone to "say it again" or "I dare you, push me", or "what did you say to me!?!". Just so eager to have something directed at him.

Take it for what it is,

But rumors that transportation, Public Safety, Health and Heritage are all in play. We know that Bennett indicated that she was leaving politics. Also rumors that Lametti Justice and Blair Emergency Prepardness are not running in the next election.

It makes sense Omar Alghabra, Mendicino, Rodrigeuz have had real difficulties in their ministries.

I just don't see the bench strength to replace them. I expect O'Regan will get a major portfolio bump. I can't see Defense being shuffled or finance or Foreign Affairs. .

Hopefully Steven Guilbeault gets sent to the deep back benches.

I doubt it, he's Trudeau's star in the file, and he's a close personal friend of Butts.

He's going nowhere.

The only time I mentioned CERB was to say that I specifically wasn't talking about CERB.

Not exactly, no.

In context, “I’m not even going to go into CERB” functions differently than “I’m not talking about CERB,” and, if there were any confusion about why you weren’t talking about CERB, you’ve decided it was more important to just repeat that you “specifically” weren’t talking about it, which I don’t think anyone cares about.

Regardless even if you mentioned it just to tell people you weren’t actually mentioning it like for real for real, you did mentioned it, and Locke said he wasn’t replying to you, so it’s still fairly unclear why you continue to struggle.

Is it OK with you if people see a word in one of your posts and include that word on one of their posts without making it all about you? Do they need your permission, or… ?

Public Sector Minister Helen Jaczek announces that she's out. Fisheries Minister Joyce Murray as well.

LePress is reporting that Lametti is getting booted out of Cabinet, with the same rumor around Mendicino.

Update - Mendicino is out.

Yes I dont think he is either, but I heard a rumor that he was about a month ago, and his statement on the subject yesterday was pretty strange.

My take is that he's probably going to stay but pmo has jilted him recently. He wasn't stoked about budget making reference to contracting regulatory timelines.

Very ideological fellow and I think PMO is even getting tired of his inflexibility when it comes to mining projects for e.g.

Another former Mountie caught in Chinese interference.

https://globalnews.ca/news/9853865/s...ference-probe/

Quote:
A second former senior Mountie is allegedly caught up in an investigation into Chinese interference operations in Canada.
Kenneth Ingram Marsh, a B.C.-based private investigator and former commander of an RCMP international organized crime unit, has been named as a co-conspirator in the allegations along with former Mountie William “Bill” Majcher.
Few specifics about the case are known, but it allegedly involved the targeting of an individual for intimidation on Canadian soil. On Friday, the Canadian Press named Marsh as a second man involved in the case based on Majcher’s charge sheet, but did not identify him as a retired Mountie.

Glad that Alghabra won't be running again and is out, he was a disaster as transport minister.

Mendicino, Lametti and Fornier are all out.

Now we're hearing that this is a major shuffle. That most positions are being shifted.

https://www.ctvnews.ca/politics/near...source=twitter

Quote:
he four ministers set to hold on to their current jobs are Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland, Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry Francois-Philippe Champagne, Foreign Affairs Minister Melanie Joly, and Environment and Climate Change Minister Steven Guilbeault. Defence Minister Anita Anand is one of the ministers CTV News has learned will be getting a new gig, moving into an economic-focused portfolio.
Out of the ones keeping their jobs, I have respect for the job that Champagne has done in industry.

I think Anaud is pretty competition and will probably do better in a different role because her time in the Defense role was pretty uninspiring.

This is a massive shuffle, probably a reaction to the opening lead by the Conservatives in the polls. But it could signal the intention of the Liberals to fight an election long before 2025.

Oh good god. Rodriguez is moving from heritage to Transport. Blair from emergency to Defense. So take the guy who completely bungled Heritage and got punched int he face by social media and move him to one of the more difficult cabinet positions. And Blair who can barely read emails according to him and has been completely dishonest in multiple files and move him to the dying defense portfolio.

Now move Gerretson to a really high profile position, like treasury.
