Regehr laying into the team about work ethic and honoring your contract by performing on the ice was pretty cathartic.
Not sure why it's being discussed in the 960 thread though.

Coleman is a great Flame. When I listen to him (not just here but in post game interviews, during season etc) I come away thinking:
-He is a very smart guy - could talk to him about different topics, articulate, calm and measured.
-He comes across a low maintenance player
Had to earn everything he's gotten in the NHL. I would have no issues if he was the captain but I don't think fans think of him in this vein.

He convinced a group of his buddies (they didn't know anything about the city prior) to come to Calgary for Stampede week for a stag and he said some of them were talking about buying real estate here after a few days. I have never been a huge fan of the contract but the Flames could have done a lot worse than Coleman. He and his wife seem like a great people and he's one of the better 3rd liners in the league.

I may have missed it, but has SN960 announced who will be doing colour for the games this year with Peter leaving?
If it is Derek Wills doing both I will not be tuning in.....

I wouldn't be shocked if they let Wills go too..... and just run game broadcasts out of Toronto with a generic announcer following a video feed.

Then Wills is going to sink before the season is done. Only a select few PBP guys can pull that off. I say that as not even the biggest Wills hater around here.

I'd do colour on Flames radio broadcasts for free. I've amassed quite a bit of experience by now in the AJHL and at various other levels across the province. If anyone from 960 or any other level at Sportsnet is reading this, PM me or something.
