Darn it. It’s a weird situation for fans because I want Phillips to have great success. But that would also make me feel sad because the Flames would’ve lost a player without ever knowing what he was.

This is why Conroy not doing anything yesterday was a good day for the Flames, not a bad day.
Right now most prospects that are NHL ready will be on the team

Mind boggling how some have just assumed this guy was an NHLer all along and (for some unknown reason) the Flames just held him back even when trying to improve their team. Including the new head coach who had him in the AHL.
Its just really odd.

Huska didn't have him in the AHL. MacLean and Love did.
Love has now apparently helped bring him to Washington.
