No way he drops to 16 but I think it would be a huge amount of fun for the franchise to follow someone like michkov. Wish there was a way we could snag him.

Imagine if Conroy packaged Hanifin or Lindy and 16 to move up and take Michkov. Now THAT would be a splash

And then we will use it to get Yamamoto. Young and fast is apparently more important than draft picks to this team. We have to stay competitive and win the cup next year

Most memorable Flames moment for me was that Iginla and Phaneuf one-timer shooting gallery against Edmonton.

Watching Cristall’s highlights, he reminds me of Marc Savard. Thinking Iggy has a pretty good book on him too being in Kelowna.

With the depth of this draft, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to trade down from 16 if you can get two late first rounders.

Zadarov has been texting him for over a year and coaching him to say Flames or bust in his interviews lol

Having Zadorov, Sharangovich and a couple Russian prospects in the system makes me optimistic the Flames will not ignore the very talented Russian prospects that might be available at 48 or 80

Wouldn't be opposed to grabbing another late first and taking Gulyayev or Simashev then. (or Michkov please Conroy)

You mean Sailor Moon, Tuxedo Mask and Michkov in the same photo...

Is anyone watching the draft only to see what trades are announced? Is anyone not watching the draft because they hear about trades in advance?

If there's trades, odds are they get leaked and we hear about them. Bettman announces them before the picks whether we know about the trades already or not, because that's what's historically been done since before twitter/etc.

Philly should draft him and then when Torts roughs him up his mom can demand a trade to LA

The moment has arrived. All the great discussion and contributions really got me through this underwhelming season. Even though the flames don’t have a top pick we are gonna get some good talent to refill our cupboards.

Thanks to all for the awesome thread. Especially you sandman for sharing all the profiles.
