Carolina? Lindholm would be a fit. They just signed Staal to be their #3C and Aho is their #1. Kotkaniemi isn't a 4C but not really a 2C yet but he's young. So he would be coming back I assume in any deal.

Boston - no cap space to sign Lindholm.

Who else is there?
Pretty much any team that wants to compete next year or put themselves over the hump can use a Lindholm at 2-4 million with some retention. For next year at least, he would be extremely easy to nestle into a tight cap situation.

You're bonkers if you think the market is actually that dry for Elias.

Off the top of my head.
Philly seems to be tanking.

Short rebuild = short contender

Ask Treliving about all in and out

Just asking.

I'm not sure teams want to spend assets on him if it's only for a year or if they already have a #1 & 2 C.

Seattle looks one for sure and add Washington also to the list since they won't rebuild.

Yeah even a full year rental is a good deal for some teams. I'd argue that Florida might think they are a skater away. Bennett plays well with Tkachuk. But Lindholm plays better. Minnie needs help up front IMO. Nashville, depending on their future intentions. Even the Habs.

And PLD continues to be one of, if not the most, overrated players in the league. If the rumours of an 8 year term are true this is going to be a massive mistake for a low effort high skill guy that will net you 55 points a season. Interesting move for the Kings who have the makings of a really great young team.

If the flames were able to trade Huby to Montreal as a consolation prize...

He has an issue with quitting on plays when things don't go his way.

Maturity can come with time but it can also be taught. Skill, speed, and size cannot.

Yeah, requested a trade in juniors, twice in the NHL, and was basically on the ice and refusing to play some shifts in Columbus. Maybe he gets where he wants to be and he takes the next step.

He did the same #### in Winnipeg.

I'd just be super reluctant to give up assets for him.

Well if he’s worth 8.5 then Lindholm definitely is.
