Sounds like damage to the nerve. An acupuncturist might be able to do something about that, worth checking out anyway.

Turn off the scoreboard and keep all the parents away from the rink/pond would be the best thing possible. Drop your kids off, let them have fun, pick them up when it’s over and talk to them about their experience. Parents keeping stats of their 7 year old goalies and holding grudges against other parents is doing no one any good.

This just happened again this morning with my buddy, I've had it. I left myself a note on my phone to call him at 11:30 PM tonight, he falls asleep at 8:30-9 PM usually...payback's a B haha

(don't worry he doesn't have kids or anything like that & just your usual office 9-5er. He just bizarrely keeps farmer's hours)

He probably has his phone set to do not disturb, I do for the exact opposite reason as you. Buddy calls or texts at 10 or 11 at night to "share" an interesting video or something.

He doesn't, he sleeps with his ringer on (he's told me not to text him late before because it wakes him up) . This is gonna be sweet haha

Once again yesterday, for the fourth or fifth time this year so far, someone in front of me driving just came to a complete stop at a green light. Not a recently changed red to green, more like it has been green since we were 2-3 blocks away. Not even close to yellow yet either. Literally driving along in light traffic and you just brake and stop at a green light.

I am at an utter loss to explain this behavior.

Why does it seem like the battery backup for the CO detector has to die in the middle of the night? So annoying, because first ypu have to get up and deal with the issue. Then I start to think "well, I've unplugged the detector (and removed the battery) and maybe we're all going to die in our sleep now".

I read a theory they fail in the middle of the night because that is when your house is coldest, so the battery voltage drops to it's lowest point at that time. It would make sense, because mine always die at 4am.

I've heard the same thing. I've also only ever had them go in the middle of the night.

WRGMG today is having to go downtown for a medical appointment and not being to find parking anywhere close by. The appointment is expected to be longer than two hours, so street parking is out. All of the lots and parkades around the dr’s office are full. So much for downtown offices only being 75% occupied. I’m guessing nobody takes the train to work anymore in order to avoid all the tweakers?

Aren’t there a bunch of 3 hr parkplus spots downtown or were you expecting much longer than 2 hours for the appointment? I have always had good luck at the Convention Centre or City Centre Parkade for parking.

City Centre Parkade was chock full, and Convention Center was too far away.

Where are these mythical 3 hour spots?

Depends where in "downtown".

Is it really all that bad? I was just in town for a few days this past weekend and I used the train exclusively to visit family from my downtown hotel. It was incredibly convenient and seemed very safe, even at night. But that's a very small sample for sure.

I had a coworker who had their pinky amputated for almost the exact same reason.

Its a shadowy conspiracy being perpetuated by the Keyboard industry.

They and 'Big Phone' have been at war since time immemorial!
