i agree with EE's take on it. The city itself doesn't really care about the Stampeders, the team has left the public consciousness. When I was back home this weekend for the Bomber homer opener I saw a lot of Bomber lawn signs, license plates, car decals. Just as many as Jets stuff. Out here the Stamps are almost invisible. When I moved here in 97 that was not the case. Tailgating was fun, lots of Stamps fans in the city, people cared. Really sad to see, I think its awful for the league when any western market goes sour.

In the West, we have engaged owners like Amar Doman with the Lions and Victor Cui with the Elks that are showing great initiative and trying out innovative ways to bring fans to the stadium. The Bombers have the fans in Winnipeg excited with a great three year stretch of football and the Riders still have a dedicated fan base although there are signs that even Riders fans are getting tired of the product on the field.

The Stamps need to take a good, long look in the mirror because we are starting to see what happens when the team is no longer putting an entertaining as well as competitive product on the field. With inflation hitting everyone's wallet pretty hard these days, people are making much more discretionary choices with how they are spending their entertainment dollars.

CFL game are just not that entertaining anymore . Look at this weeks game . 3 of the 4 games had basically no offence (7 TD combined in the 3 games)

QB play is horrific . And players change teams so often you barely know anyone if you aren’t a hard core fan following every move

Add in that it’s expensive , the stadium is horrible , and the game day experience is boring , why would anyone go ?

I can watch on TV and change channels in between 2 and outs for free and stop watching when it’s 6-3 at half with 100 yards of total offense

Feels like the NFL and CFL swapped the excitement in the game.

The facility is old and awful. Told myself I wouldn't step in there ever again or go to a Stamps game until there is a new facility. Made that promise to myself more than 5 years ago and have been holding strong since.

Ka'Deem Carey has been ruled out with a toe injury against Ottawa. Could be put on the 6 game injury list.

Lucky to have guys like Mills and Logan to fill the large shoes of Ka'Deem Carey.

Derek was such a great player and is such a great person. Sad to see him step away from the game. We'll always be thankful to his contributions to this city, the community, the Stampeders, and the CFL. All the best to him.

Trying out CFL DFS this year and with the Carey injury Logan and Mills become good plays. Who do you guys think gets more playing time? Mills quite a bit cheaper, but I know Logan gets PR and KR duties which counts for points.

Im not really a DFS person so I dont know the little intricacies, but I remember in a similar situation to this a few years ago, DD stubbornly kept the 3rd string RB in to take all the carries, while the 2nd string RB did all the kick returns.

In an interview after, he went on about how Huff always taught him not to have the same guy returning kicks and playing meaningful RB downs. He felt it was important for whoever was handling the kick returns to just focus on the kick returns and not get burnt out playing running back.

In this case, I feel like both Mills and Logan can handle either duty. So it comes down to who DD decides is the RB for the night and who is the returner. I dont think either will get alot of DFS points double dipping on both offense and special teams.

And the way the O-line was opening holes for Carey last week, I would take whichever one is going to be the RB. But a) I dont know the point structure for CFL DFS, and b) I dont know which guy will do which job. With new import rules and loopholes, that depth chart posted by Dash could be mis-leading.

Hope that helps.
