Nice try! We all know that your complete collapse from leading the league by an insurmountable margin to finishing 7 points behind is the story here. From a 7 point lead to trailing by seven. It’s glorious!

No - your season - that was glorious. It’s why you have to eke out your joy from elsewhere.

Not even an Arsenal fan, but other fans talking #### about them is getting tired now. Especially from a fan of a team who finished in 8th place. I mean, guess the last time Spurs finished within 5 points of the winners in the top flight - the 1966/67 season. That's the last time they've come close to pushing a title fight.
Hey Slava, if offered the following outcomes for next season, which would you choose for Spurs - get 84 points and finish 2nd qualifying for the CL, or get 60 points and finish 8th qualifying for no European competition?

Been a decent season considering the average personnel still on board. Worrying for me was the way ten Hag persisted with Martial. I hope that's him done at United. Special award for services rendered to MUFC this season goes to Piers Morgan. Huge break there getting rid of that toxicity.
But one of the stories has to be considering all the pre and early season tripe the way they sent Liverpool into absolute freefall and a spin that they never fully recovered from. Remember that was the game where ten Hag was going to be fixed.
And The Spurs? Lol. That's it. I think this is the last season that they'll be be talked about as one of the big 6 until the Levy era passes.
Still. They can always spin their unique special celebrations in defeat.
Quote of the season award.

And then Wednesday wins at Wembley with a goal in stoppage time in extra time. Crazy finish to the EFL season.

I mean, the other option was Wout Weghorst. Of course he persisted with Martial.
A top striker has to be the top agenda this summer. Harry Kane simply needs to listen to his inner child.

Totally missed my point. Was not his only other option.
The other option was, considering Weghorst and Martial were crap with the latter lazy and disinterested to give a fresh face from the system a shot. I mean could they have been any worse.
As Keane said. He's the last of a group of players that will get you sacked.
I don't get this mentality of continuing to give lazy disinterested players gametime just because they are on big salaries.

I think ten Hag is pragmatic enough to play the team that gives him the best chance at winning, and if there had been a better option than Martial, he would have given that a shot. I also think ten Hag will drop Martial like a hot potato as soon as he gets his hands on a new striker. But in 22/23, he probably persisted with Martial because he was still the best option, sad as that is.

Well I’d take second, but that’s irrelevant. I’m not tied of laughing at the collapse, and might never be.

Spurs collapsed even more than Arsenal though.
Honestly as a Spurs fan I take no solace in Arsenal finishing second. Sure it's better than them winning the league (although part of me hates City and Pep more than Arsenal even if they are Spurs biggest rival) but really the Spurs collapse out of the champions league has been even worse and is even more impactful longer term in terms of these clubs moving forward.
Sure it's fun to point and say that they were up 8 points at matchweek 28 but even then I don't recall many Arsenal fans thinking they were comfortable with City having a game in hand (so really 5 points up), and two head to heads remaining.
At the same time though Spurs were in 4th with 49 points (20 behind Arsenal), and are now in 8th (24 points behind Arsenal). So tough to laugh when Spurs collapse has been even worse.
Reminds me of people laughing at Oilers fans for losing to the Avs last year when they had just beat the Flames in 5.

Yeah, as a Spurs fan, I'd be pretty embarrassed to try and spin Arsenal finishing second as somehow worse than us finishing 8th, especially when you consider the relative preseason hype each squad had.
Furthermore, this team looks like an absolute dumpster fire, with a long road ahead to get back to even battling for a CL spot.

Do you not know any Arsenal fans? They are/were the most arrogant, blowhard fans around. Plenty of them were already claiming the title and acting as though they were the new power in English football.
Nothing wrong with celebrating the pathetic collapse by the scum.

Well...they did have a pretty commanding lead for a while...their optimism was kind of understandable.
The only real thing was that this was a wild season, Winter World Cup, etc.

There are arsehole fans everywhere, supporting every team.
There are a few Arsenal fans here. Can you find one post in this entire season long thread where one has posted anything remotely like you’ve claimed.
In my entire circle of friends, I can’t point to one that has the attitude you’ve described.
Mind you, I don’t have many friends - but you get the point.

I haven't followed this thread so if you say the Arsenal fans here haven't said anything like that I will believe. It is possible that even for a disgusting club like Arsenal there could be some decent ones. But similar to you saying you only know good fans I have yet to find a single one. Including current and former managers and players.

Great example though. The Flames missed the playoffs and I still thoroughly enjoyed the Oilers crashing out this year. Did they have a better season than us? Sure. The losing is still super enjoyable!

Yeah, I think you’re over-egging the pudding a little.
Especially as it was a former Arsenal player/manager that ended your trophy drought.
