I appreciate Wout's work ethic, but man he isn't creating & pushing Bruno to the wing ain't it either. Give Pellistri or Garnacho a start, and push Bruno back behind Rashford.

Millwall choking a 3-1 lead to send Sunderland to the playoff. Funny #### right there.

Yeah that was hilarious, couldn't happen to a nicer club.
Wild to see Watford didn't even make the playoffs... those parachute payments are drying up and they could be even dropping below yo yo status for a bit. Saw they sold their one good young brazilian striker to BHA and imagine they will move Sarr to keep from financial penalties next year but that's gotta hurt as they took a lot more risk than Norwich as far as their spending. Not as big an implosion as it's going to be when one of Leeds, Everton or Forest go down though, I could see that story ending in league one.

Rough day for Leicester with this Everton result and their debacle. With their run in being Liverpool, Newcastle and West Ham it is starting to look pretty grim for them.

yeah Leicester had 3 super winnable games in a row and got 2 pts, huge fail with the star power they have. Fulham Everton Leeds and they got two draws, I don't know if they deserve to stay up after that, now liverpool and newcastle coming up which it's tough to see them getting anything from.
Everton picked up 3 pts not many saw them getting and have bournemouth and wolves left which along with leicester slumping looks pretty good for them. I think it's gonna be
Leeds, Leicester and Southampton going down now. I thought Southampton would get some points with teams like bournemouth and forest on their schedule and they also did a huge faceplant.

this will break the hearts of lots of fans who'd be happy to kneel before Qatar, but I really hope this happens.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe has moved a significant step closer to securing Manchester United with the Glazers and their New York bankers ready to discuss details of a sale with the British petrochemicals billionaire.
Sources close to the deal have indicated that the Glazers and The Raine Group are now willing to enter final talks with Ratcliffe and his team at Ineos to thrash out the world-record deal.

from what I understand, the Glazers are simply reluctant to sell 100 percent at this point, so Ratcliffe has put forward different offers ... I've read something about 69% somewhere (nice!), but also other options. I have no idea how it'll all turn out, but it seems likely that the Glazers stay on as minority owners for now and then fully cash out in a couple of years. The Qatari bid has apparently run into money problems, leaving Ratcliffe as the favourite. Might also be why the Glazers don't want to sell 100 percent for now, as a bidding war simply hasn't materialized. They might feel they'll make more if they hold on to a minority stake for now.
I'm not a Ratcliffe fan by any means. I just see him as the lesser of many different evils ... I'll certainly take him over Qatari ownership that would turn the club into a vessel for sportswashing, and I'll also certainly take him over the status quo under the American leeches.

I'd prefer him to another sportswashing project as well. I just wasn't sure how happy United supporters would be with the Glazers selling some, but retaining control. I think their shares are something like 100-1 when it comes to voting, and there's a clause where if they sell them to someone else the actually revert to the 1 vote. That's why someone has to buy the whole club or they don't have enough votes. It's pretty crazy...and I can't see wanting to put up enough to buy that 69% without getting voting control. Maybe they'll strike some kind of deal on that front though, as I would imagine that is a deal-breaker for anyone.

yeah it'll depend on the details for sure. I can't see Ratcliffe shelling out billions only to let the leeches stay in power.
Fans will be unhappy either way. Lots of fans will be pissed if they sell to Qatar, lots of fans will be pissed if they sell to Ratcliffe. There's no white knight here that is acceptable to everybody.

Villa up 2-0 against Spurs and now tied with them in goal difference, still going to be tough to pass them with Liverpool and Brighton to finish the season off but just the fact that Villas still in this position is so awesome

This is the kind of penalty that’s so dumb. Kane was never scoring and no chance he even keeps the ball in play.

It's still ridiculous that H2H isn't the first tiebreaker, or even the second tiebreaker.

United made things tough on themselves once again. The kind of game you have to win 3 or 4 nil without any fuss, but because they just can't finish the job, it's close until the very end. If they just had a decent striker ...

I respectfully disagree. I much prefer the first tiebreaker being goal difference. It gives meaning to each match and prevents teams from throwing the goalkeeper forward in the dying minutes any time they're down a goal. It also gives teams that are up three or four goals a reason to keep attacking, which makes things much more interesting in my opinion. I'd much rather a team be rewarded or penalized for their performance throughout the season as opposed to getting relegated or promoted on the basis of one or two good or bad results.
