If Calgary votes in the UCP because of this, your city will be the biggest =NG this province has ever seen.
would you really vote UCP because of a bribe or two for Calgary, despite all the negatives the UCP (especially the D. Smith UCP) will bring us?

They're going to divert the Elbow River through Inglewood.

They won 4 playoff series over those 8 seaons and made the Stanley Cup Finals. That would be nice if the Flames could do that over the next 8 years.

Probably so they can put a public library in it somewhere, that way they can sell it as a library that just happens to have an arena in it.

Scoring Winger

Most likely will be Sutter shaped.
Concourses will run north-south
with rink corners curved to generate most missed shot volume towards other D.
Face off circles in D zones will be moved close to blue line and Center one close to the boards to eliminate the term Royal Road/slot shots.
Oh and to save money, Sutter will mandate all players to play with wooden sticks : Sherwood PMP 5030

She might be shocked to find out how many Calgarians want the Flames gone and not have to pay for an arena on election day.

You want the Flames gone?? Then piss off. Why post here??

The last time a politician and the flames tried to make a flames arena an election issue the people crushed the politician.
Calgary is interesting in that it might be the mythical land of the fiscal conservative socially liberal voter. Or at least voters who think that’s what they are. If there is a project that is the opposite of that mindset it’s government money subsidizing an arena.
The deal needs to be seen as a good deal between the province and the city and the team. It needs to have more private dollars in terms of % than the Edmonton deal and it can’t look like an outright corporate subsidy. It will actually be a tricky deal to craft well to make it a political benefit.

The arena will be tank shaped, a hint that the team needs to tank.

They're just going to carve out the middle of New Horizon, and stick a rink in the middle.

Would be ironic considering the Saddledome has been called a library for years.
