I've gotten text spammed by the UCP daily for the past week. Aggressive language repeatedly saying don't believe NDP lies, Trudeau and Notley are the same, and other sloganeered BS. Fricking irritating and I've been reporting them as spam but they still get through from a different number every day.

Got that last night on my work phone. Here is the (poor) transcription of the message:

Did the NDP introduce that fee, or is it something that has been around for decades? If the NDP did not, it seems pretty disingenuous to flag them for it.

Not only are the NDP more popular among the Calgarians who consider themselves centrist, but they're also notching votes among people on the slight centre-right as well. In fact, among all the Calgarians who say they're an ideological 4, 5 or 6 — and that's more than half of Calgarians — Notley's party gets support of more than half of them, compared to one-third for Smith's.

That's a fun article. Election is still a long time away, who knows what adventure we go on next from here. Although I suspect Smith will do something to face-plant again, I think she actually loves the pain and gets a kick out it.

Got one today from "Grant from the UCP" telling me how I shouldn't listen to the NDP "twist the truth on healthcare" and I should "stop listening to NDP lies". So sick of the call/text spam. It's "authorized by the UCP" with an 800 number but its always comes from some rando number I can't block.

In any case, UCP promises have been worthless anyways like their whole "never gonna be health cuts"/"no mining in the mountains" pledge BS anyways. Record speaks for itself.

The whole Catholic school system is an embarrassment. An organization that has protected hundreds of sexual predators while turning a blind eye to kids being raped should not have any say in public education

What's more embarrassing is Calgarians continue to enroll their children into these indoctrination facilities. It's ridiculous.
