Yes, why change anything? We've had so much success.

I think that they see Conroy as the next GM but are letting him take his time to learn the role.

They may also still be negotiating with Brad, who knows.

Yeah to me this sounds like they really want Treliving back...and if Treliving is not back then one of Maloney or Conroy likely get a promotion.

I will say...this season sucked...but I think overreacting to it would be a worse outcome than a more patient approach. I have no issue bringing Maloney, Conroy, and Treliving back.

Sutter...well I'm more torn on that one...because unless he commits to being more open to a younger roster next year then I'd want him gone too.

Its been almost 10 years. If he doesn't have it down yet, its not happening.

Conroy is like the Al MacNeil of his generation, surviving multiple regime changes.

Way to make me feel old.

Doesn't feel like it's been ten years that's for sure.

Didn't Al end up coaching for a bit before Sutter got hired as coach the first time around? I could be misremembering.

Al was such a lovable guy.

They don’t want them to explore opportunities elsewhere, because they want them in the organization.

But Conroy years are the opposite of dog years, with his ADHD.

He was the interim coach while they looked for a repalcement for Gilbert. He was still in the organization at the time.

Owners to management and coaches, and lastly fans.

Of course the ball is in Trelivings court.

Do you really think ownership wants him gone because the goalie #### the bed this season? Lol

He's not perfect but he's a pretty damn good GM that has to constantly shovel #### against the tide because if the market his team is in.

Future Norris winner...nope doesn't want to play for the Flames

Two 40 goal 100 point forwards in their prime...nope don't want to be in Calgary anymore

Facilities that pre-date the coliseum in Rome FFS

If I was him I'd definitely wait to see if something opens up in a better market where top players actually want to go and stay.

And somewhere where the vocal minority of the fan base aren't raving loonies lol

Wonder if Edwards would entertain keeping Sutter on staff as an expensive senior adviser and promote Love to head coach.

Get a new voice and approach, but some experience in the wings.
Or maybe you look at Love and think "he needs an introduction to the NHL level"

They let Muller walk, and promote Love. Sutter as HC helps bring AC Love along at the NHL level?

No - he has a 2 year contract at $4M per year, starting next season, so $8M total which he'd be owed if he was fired. It was an extension agreed to in the last off season.
