the most important thing the Flames need to do this offseason is unplug the phones on July 1.

We don't need another Rooney signed only 1 hour into Free Agency.

"He scored on him before."

I once got a hole in one attempting to play golf, but sure, leave actual PGA players on the bench.

People are allowed to have their opinions and disagree with you. Not sure why you have the need to crap on posters who don’t buy your take. “Go cheer for Edmonton” is just juvenile. Be better.

The hope for next year is goaltending

Flames even without much bounce back are 100 point team with decent goaltending.

Pray that Wolf is actually good...then other young guys to replace Lucic ect..

I would also trade a dman and sign Stetcher, hope Kylington is back need more upfront

We could put all 1,090 CalgaryPuck people who were viewing this thread at one point up against Saros in a shootout and somebody would score. Would you send them out there next time ahead of Toffoli, Lindholm, Mangiapane, Andersson, or anyone else that people suggested?

That's why small sample sizes are disregarded.

I think when the dust settles this team will look quite similar to how it looks now. A few spots taken by Coronato and Pelletier and Wolf. A few UFAs not coming back. Vladar traded. Same coach. Same GM.
I think the problem is this isn’t a very well constructed team at all.

We have too many overpriced veterans on long-term deals that are being paid by us for what they did elsewhere. They were brought in to support other older veterans.

The league is getting younger. We needed to have a few of these guys to strengthen a young foundation not have all these guys make up the entire roster.

How many teams in which the majority of their core players are 30+ years old have won the Cup In the salary cap era?

We need major changes.

“Go cheer for Edmonton” is because that particular poster is not an actual Flames fan. I’m not the first to notice.

I suppose you think the “Markstrom’s mom” was a quality post.

Honestly I doubt any of them score... Markstrom had the lead in the SO, he needed that 3rd save

My favourite poetic justice is the Flames year was ended by a team comprised almost entirely of young hungry AHL guys, the same type of guys Darryl just refused to deploy in lieu of the vets all year. Chefs kiss.

I'm generally optimistic for next year if we see a new coach aligned with the rosters strengths, and of course, with one of the best AHL goaltenders/prospects we've seen in years getting the opportunity to take the reigns.

To be fair, if "Go cheer for Edmonton" is juvenile, "You must be Markstrom's mom" isn't? Why just call out one and not the other?

If they want someone with size like Lucic, is that Klappa kid on the farm pretty big?

He disagreed with the post and got labelled an oilers fan. I’m not sure how restrained of a response I would have given if that happened to me.

Huberdeau went from 115 to 55 points

Change number one is understanding and rectifying that

Not many players can hit 115, no matter how hard they try

My hope is Wolf can step in and play enough games to take the workload off Marky. I didn't think Marky handled the number of games he was given this year well. He looked tired at times and it affected his game.

So the season is done. Smartest thing now is reward the young guys with some big-show time. So who, realistically, gets the nod next game?

Coronato, Ruzicka, Pelletier, and Zary should be locks. Scratch Lucic, Ritchie...and who else? Message to Mangiapane? Bigger message to Kadri? Business over feelings = Lewis? Give a rest to guys like Backlund & Coleman while acknowledging their positive seasons?

I'm not giving Wolf the start. Let's give this stud a start in a fresh situation/environment. Vladar in.
