selfishly as someone who has a lottery pick I voted ASAP.
My question back to the team is, if the lottery doesn't impact you - why do you care? Wouldn't this in theory promote trading since we know where all the picks land?

I think the lottery shouldn't take away from the focus of the playoffs.
Also, last year there were tons of trades by teams that were positioning themselves for the lottery. I did not have a lottery pick going into the off season, made several trades, landed the 8 spot and won the lottery. I think it is fair that teams should get some time to try and add lottery picks before we do the draw.

I like waiting until after the playoffs, because that is the time that all teams are focused on making trades and the lottery may lead to a lot of additional trade activity!
