I'm going to try to boo them quietly, but mercilessly from the plus fifteen if I see them. Might kick up a notch and shake my fist.

Clean win tonight.
Unlike the last 2, Flames will go ahead early and stay ahead.
4-1 final.

I was thinking of this too. With the Jets getting hot all of a sudden and waiting at home for the Flames to travel right after tonight's game I wonder if the coaches are looking to use the full roster over the next 48 hours?

Obviously these are two very important points, but the game vs the Jets is the bigger of the two. It's gotta be a tough call to decide whether to stick with the players that have won 4 in a row or to find a way to maximize energy.

I think the Flames will win tonight. I hope it's a no doubter and doesn't go like that Anaheim game did... or that Vancouver game did... yeah we all know what's about to happen; tying goal in the last second or some such nonsense.

It didn't dawn on me until today that the Flames actually probably need to win out. They have to win tonight to tie the Jets, and then obviously if they lose to the Jets they're pretty much screwed so they have to win that one. Then they're up 2 points but the Jets have an additional game. The Jets play the Preds, Sharks, Wild and Avs, and I think you need to assume they're winning the first two and getting 2 of 4 points out of the last 2, bringing them to 95. The Flames will then have the Canucks, Preds and Sharks to get to 97 - they lose the tiebreaker to the Jets, so they can lose one game in OT.

So yeah. That's a pretty big ask. Possible but not a lot of room for error.

If you lose tonight it doesn't really matter anyway. The team can sort of afford possibly 1 more loss, but it does matter when this happens in terms of the Jets psyche. Today is not the game to lose if you have playoff aspirations.

A Flames win tonight and the Jets are likely gripping the sticks a little tighter tomorrow hoping to hang on. A Flames loss tonight and the Jets are likely going into tomorrow's game thinking of ending the Flames season altogether.

Bringing the wife to the game tonight. She has been going on and on about loving the Blackhawks.

Wait, what...?

There are so many brand new guys, that there has been no cohesion, at all, in game play and execution. Aside from an Raddysh, and an occasional burst from Athanasiou, the most consistent play has come from the 4th line plumbers, Anderson (waived on Sunday), Katchouk, and Entwistle.

Toews appears to be reactivated, and will be joining total strangers tonight. Toews and the overrated Connor Murphy are the only guys that have been on the team since 2019.

Mrazek and Stalock have both played heroically, but, have crumbled in the 3rd under the pressure of having a totally inept D beyond the Jones Bros.

I have had a painful time even trying to watch this mess of a team...often rage quitting after an inevitable late 2nd period collapse.

I have joined the ranks of the retired, and have had the twin disappointment of have the worst March weather in decades, here in Utah, keeping me, basically, housebound, since then, and having a totally inept team as my sole sporting distraction since that March 12 event...

The only small consolation was going to a Utah Grizzly game as a retirement gift from my boys, and having this view from my seat (sorry for the size, this boomer has no idea how to reduce!):

I had this same thought after the win on Sunday. Feels like the perfect game to sit a veteran and put in Coronato. Home game against arguably the worst team in the league and a short turnaround with travel for the monster game tomorrow. Could sit one of Lewis, Lucic or Dube. Added benefit of bringing in a young, exciting player to boost the team and crowd. The flames (and the crowd) have had a habit of poor starts against weaker opponents - they could use the boost.

Cliche and boring, but true: need your best players to be your best players the rest of the season. It's that simple. Might as well start tonight and carry it over to tomorrow as well.

Huberdeau, Kadri, Lindholm especially need to find another level.

No way Coronato is playing tonight.

You could certainly make an argument for Pelletier, but then Ritchie and Lucic both scored last game so it would be odd timing.

Yeah with wins in 5/6 games and 4 straight. Finally.

There is no way Sutter, or any coach for that matter, is changing the lineup unless there is an injury or illness we don't know of.

HUGE 48 hours here. This more than any point is the season.
It's actually a huge 25 hours starting at puck drop tonight. This is our season.
