No upheaval. GM and Coach in-step together working towards a common goal. That would be ideal, as stability + shared vision at two massively important positions would be something this organization has lacked.
We’ve seen the lack of a shared vision in recent years through the use of Sam Bennett. Treliving and Conroy were both on the record as viewing Benny as a centre, but their coaches did not.
Sutter seemed to like Bennett, but by the time he came on Benny had already requested a trade - and once that happens, the relationship between player and team rarely stays strong and Tree then dealt him.
Now, this season certainly makes me question whether Coach and GM are on the same page…but if they’re both onboard with a rebuild? That’d be exciting.

There is no chance the Flames will go into rebuild mode this summer.

You’re missing the most important part.
I don’t think the Flames will be rebuilding until ownership (Edwards) is on board.

Almost impossible to say.
Who is making the moves?
They're over the cap and have to do something so there will be change. And I think with six UFAs we see some change for sure.

During the course of the season and the 2024 summer there is going to be a lot of change ( if the team doesn't perform). It is tough to expect much in the off season. But you're right, no one has a crystal ball.

If Treliving stays he will want to alter the room.
If it's a new GM he'll want to make a mark.
And I can't see leaving all those UFAs going into the season.

I watched ~10 games of his this year, and I'd his skating is a weaker part of his game. He definitely has the shot and a knack for getting in position to release it especially on the PP. I agree he looks similar to Lindholm. I saw a RH center who isn't particularly dangerous or explosive carrying the puck but maneuvers well off-puck into good ice. Definitely has a great work rate, and like you say, comes up big in important moments.
I was disappointed to see that he produced less at 5-on-5 than I hoped, but he seems to have a great attitude and I think has only scratched the surface.

Edit: I think I missed the timeline you meant around UFAs.
IMO the most likely scenario is they run it back and hope #10 and #25 don't suck again.
I don't think anyone can alter the room with the current contracts.

Honestly, with the reputation that Edwards has, I can't imagine how difficult it would be to run a hockey team with him in charge.

Maybe give him some NHL auditions and then slot him into the Wranglers for their championship run?

I think they should give him a crack at it. If he's playing wing, he can hardly #### up that badly.
But there's a small chance he's one of those guys that just gets it right away (like Monahan did).
Everyone says he's got a big league shot, so let's see him uncork one.

If he was eligible that would be the best for him, but I believe he can only stay with the NHL club.

whether it’s Treliving or not, I’m not sure who would want to enter next season with 6 pending UFA’s and 2(?) RFA’s. Some of that has to get cleaned up this offseason whether you’re extending guys or trading them.
It should go without saying, because 99% of the time this is the case with any team, but next years team entering the season will be different than the one we see now.
