For anyone who's driven the 403/401 East in Toronto at Dixie, you know what a gong show it can be, especially in rush. But every day in the Collectors I see people cutting people off to get to the right lane, even though there's no exit, and you're just running into the heavy truck traffic coming onto the highway from Dixie.

I can't figure it out. They're not saving anything. Sometimes they get into the on-ramp, get a head of two cars, and are forced back over. What exactly are they accomplishing?

If you go fast enough it smooths those bumps right out.

i believe the manufacture a lifted dodge ram truck specially for this time of year. If you aren’t driving one, your vehicle is under sized.

I am noticing a LOT of potholes in our area that will need to be filled, they're pretty bad this year.

Everyone in Calgary should be driving “Rally” style now. Combination of rapid braking and acceleration to unload those front shocks before the potholes. Best time of year!

But yeah, for those among us who didn't know, you may be able to get the City to cover some or all of your repairs. I already verified the pothole had been reported on 311; going to snap some photos of the pothole this afternoon. When I hit it there were no cones or anything to warn of it, and it happened to be just the right time of morning to disappear in a shadow...

This happened to my wife on Glenmore a few years ago and took out both passenger side tires. We called 311, were told to take photos, had a file #, etc, but by the time we dealt with getting the car towed, etc, it was late & dark out... By the time we went back the next morning to take photos, there was a crew onsite repairing the canyon pothole.

Edit - shoutout to Kaltire and their tire warranty, which took the edge off the cost of replacing two 21" tires.
