While I still dont agree with the bloq as a federal party, I have found Francois Blanchet to be surprisingly sober with his recent stance on comments on issues at hand.

As someone who's met and hung out with Pierre on previous occasions as a family connections , I can say with 100% confidence that the guy is pretty ripped and jacked. He is in his early 40's. I don't know if his social media post was altered as I don't use filters, twitter or come from that social media background but the guy is fit.

As for the "hot comment" about the wife? A little overplayed, no?? The women is a fox and good on him.

Sometimes I think peoples politics plays a big role in their bias on basic things like this. Frankly all 4 major federal male leaders are good looking in their own way and have attractive wives, don't know about the Bloc's as I haven't seen her.

It's a total non-issue, but the joke here is that a normal person would just say something like "Happy birthday to my beautiful wife"

If I called my wife "strong, hot, fierce" she'd roll her eyes and call me a jackass

Pierre Poilievre, just not fit for PM. Nice muscles though.

Kthx, I’ll take my paycheque now for this Liberal campaign ad slogan.

i get the sentiment about wanting these MP's toosed - but at the same time, what punishments have Liberal cabinet ministers dealt with for hiring friends?

to me, my tax money went to hire the friends, where as the conservatives meeting with the folks cost me nothing

The issue with hiring friends isn’t that they spent money hiring, it’s that they chose people close to them, so the money isn’t very relevant to the issue.

If you’re taking the position of caring how “your” money gets spent, you’re also paying these MPs for their time, so you essentially paid them to meet with nazis.

End of the day, “these people didn’t get punished for this bad thing so why should I care about these other people getting punished for this other thing?” just lacks any sort of moral standard. You either think MPs shouldn’t meet with nazis, or you think it’s ok. If you don’t think it’s ok, you either think they should be punished or you don’t, neither of which should have anything to do with what some other unrelated MPs got for some other completely unrelated issue.

If PP wants to seem to take a moral high road, he should have turfed them. Now all he has done is contributed to the perpetual “your people did something worse than mine” back and forth. He could have gained some easy moral authority points, but he decided on still pander to his nazi sympathizer base.

The brilliant strategy move would have been for PP to dismiss those MPs then look at Trudeau and asked when he was going to fire Ng and Fergus and other MPs with ethical violations. Short sighted by the Cons. Then in the next election the Cons could have gotten some mileage out of we fired our Nazi supporters why hasn't Justin fired his, the post pictures of Justin with Atwal and with Patubiy from the Ukraine.

Yup. Hard to take the high road / criticize Trudeau when you allow and defend that type of garbage it in your own party.

Brilliant is probably a strong word given how obvious it is, but it just tells you how far the Conservative party has sunk that they won't do anything about it.

If your only defense is other people did bad things too, then you have no defense. What-about-ism is disgusting no matter which party is doing it (and they all do it).

The goal should be to do better then your opponent, not to sink to their level because they did it.

Sounds good, so nothing actually matters and we just carry on.

So the cons have nazi sympathizers who won't face any disciplinary action, and the libs have open wallets for China. We're totally ####ed in the next election no matter what aren't we

That's pretty much my plan. Even though I think they're crap too, but the Liberals and Conservatives have proven time and time again that they're not up to the task

As much good as it will do, yea. Realistically though that just means another Liberal minority, hopefully with fewer seats if we're lucky

The CPC would have a slam dunk majority if they publicly outed and shamed their socially regressive members.
