That is what worries me. I don't think they will win, and they could lose first round, but if the goalies play well, they could go far. The Avs are the best team, but they could get upset. Landeskog has yet to play too. They have issues and could get poor goaltending as well.

Hoping vegas loads up to block the Oilers.

come on now their D and their depth is still bad

Barrie, JP out
Ekholm, Bjugstad in

that is not as big a gain as people are suggesting IMO

Absolutely. Any one of Vegas, Colorado, L.A. or the Jets would still take them out in 6 games or less. No team is scared of the Oilers, even after these moves.

Maybe. Limited viewings on my part, but ekholm seems like a solid fit in their top4.

You have to hate Lewis to send him to Edmonton.

Lewis is a good depth player and good on the PK, but I would rather have the 3rd.
Point missed entirely. Lewis would help them, I don’t want to help them. And I like Lewis and don’t want bad things to happen to him.

I’m not saying trade him to the Oilers. Rather keep him them help them out

He would be a great fit there too

Remember Mike Green and Anthansiou?

Many around here were "worried" that those acquisitions were the answer finally. But now, as then, the Oilers throwing a bunch of random available players at a wall and hoping that independently of any team concept, they hopefully will catch fire with each other and be secondary scoring support for Dr Drai and McAvi, is what this amounts to.

Yeah, but they subtracted their power play specialist (Barrie) who was having a career year. I don't think this swap in their defense corps has put them over the top.

1 game viewing you mean. For everyone.

How many players have their best game A game on a debut? Almost all. He got an assist.

I was more surprised that the tenderness was fighting!

Dude was on a lifetime high getting to play on the same team as the best player in the world.

We’ll see how he performs when he realizes he plays with the most minus player in the world.

Are you talking about McDavid being the most minus player in the world? He was +15 in the playoffs last year, +11 this year so far. Not sure how you come to that description. I may have misunderstood your post though.

I am not talking about his 1 game as an oiler. I’m talking about my limited viewings of him as a pred.

Here comes rising oil prices to defend his wet dream.

That’s fair.

Different teams and different partners though.

I will add that for $6.25 million (-4%) per annum for this and the next 3 seasons, he has to bring something to the table.

I don't think any teams are "scared" of other teams; that's a fan's mentality. But if you don't think that other pros and coaches aren't giving the Oilers respect you are wrong. They are the topmoffense in the league and they have only lost what, 3 games in regulation since Christmas? Not what I like to see, but they are dangerous.
