Recent history ( past several seasons) are most definitely on your side.

While you never want your team to lose, the silver lining is that it makes it less likely Tree does something stupid. Although he certainly has substantial ability in that regard.

Does he? What has he won? Losing two key players last season, and it resulting in this should actually hurt his stock.

I don't believe this narrative that teams are lining up to fetch Treliving. He doesn't have an impressive resume as a Flames GM.

If he does something else with another organization, I wouldn't bet on it being as GM.

Treliving put himself in that situation by trading for Huberdeau and Weegar. He knew he had to sign them.

Not his fault, team let him down and did not score 5 goals.

Maybe Calgary deserves great things now and Backlund takes this team on his back?

Yo-yo will go up next year - conference finals on the back of Marky's playoff shut out streak, book it!

Yeah, not fair to pin this on him. I'm with Millen on that.

I don’t think teams are lining up per se to hire him. But, from some of the people who are affiliated with the league that I know, they have given the presumption that although he isn’t seen as a lower tier GM, But, he is respected.

As far as hiring as a GM right away, maybe not, but involved in some aspect of hockey in the league should he not be extended. That’s what I meant.

Oraybe to make the first two saves of the game so the Flames aren't chasing the Avs the entire night.
