I want to see this team looks like with either less fragile skaters, or with a better goalie.

We have a blue chip goaltending talent that plays in the same building, but for whatever reason we're going to see this schedule through with the .750 brothers

So does anyone think Sutter is playing Markstrom this much as some form of message to Tre? Just baffling.

The goaltending is the problem. It is possible a better goalie could fix it.

Darryl Sutter has become a world class coach. At putting the team in a position to lose. This is on Darryl.

Also Weegar has been perfectly fine. Stats have him as a top 20 dman in all areas except goals and points.

IMO harping on him is just saying "Im not sure how to evaluate dmen"

I would've swapped the goalies at the 3rd goal against, and I'm no professional coach

Vladar would only have to intercept a slow-moving putt from sliding across his crease .. I'd wager he does it

Literally no desperation behind the bench to secure points. They just leave the team out to dry when the goalie clearly isn't up to the task

Why is Sutter even there, if he can't make these judgments in-game

Darryl's man on man defense is not working.
They are still confused how to cover in D zone and always struggle who is there and how to break out.

Weegar is honestly the most movable player of those guys. I’m sure a team like Ottawa would trade for him. But I like Weegs. He’s solid even if his offense has taken a hit

I wish we could line up a season where everyone on the team had an expiring contract. Players only give their best when there's big money on the line. Sad but true. That's when you see career years.

I want to see this team with even average goaltending before blowing it up.

Any other goalie in the NHL including back-ups and emergency call-ups and we win today.

Everyone of them stops that 4th goal.

It's funny Lucic and Lewis don't see regular shifts when Ruzicka is playing but when it's Ritchie they get 10 plus minutes.

That didn't cost us this game but was wondering when he would toss em out when we needed a goal they never saw the ice.

On Saturday they finished the game lol.

Same here.

1st period vs 2nd period was a matter of deflated confidence

Let's see what the team does when its goalie can hold up his end of the bargain

Really. If you put this all on the coach then you are just biased. It's a combination of multiple issues, coaching included, which squarely means the GM be gone first.

People said the same thing about TJ Brodie but thats because they fixate on turnovers.

Hes elite at denying zone entry anf breaking up plays in the defensive zone, and has been unlucky offensively.

If you are watching for than just points and turnovers the eye test says hes a pretty damn good dman too.

And the stats say hes elite.

Ugly game ugly team. Not a lot of heart or finish.

Treliving panicked. We now have a rough cap outlook.

I hope they sell.

How many teams going for Bedard beat us ? And we have our sights on the playoffs? Sheesh

Trade Anderson , lindholm, and hanifin imo. Hanifin can make a good stretch pass but his dzone concentration wanes.

We don’t have any elite pieces at key stone positions.

My homey was saying, after this game and numerous games he’s attended this year, they are playing scared. Zero confidence. He thinks with the lack of high end talent we need to become greasier but I don’t see it with this group.

Make backlund the captain already
