Flames now with 24 more penalty kills than powerplays. Seems totally normal for the 5th best 5v5 team in the league.
The Flames need to call this BS out. It's beyond terrible.

I think the zebras owe the Flames a powerplay or two in the third period.

Does everybody who scores now say "Let's Go"? Lame if so.

Not to be dramatic but this game feels like the scale tipper. Lose and it's a tail spin. Win and it's countdown to launch

Huberdeau has been MIA since the back half of january
had a little resurgence between mid november and mid jan, but he's sunk back into his early pedestrian ways
that's pretty disappointing. we need him

5 total shots for the Wings, 5 on 5. But 4 PPs to keep them in it. And the 4th one was complete bull ####

I think the Flames' best hope is to stack their talent with Huby, Lindy and Kadri on a line, and wait for those three to figure it out, if they want to have any hope of finding a #1 line by season's end
Backlund is playing to a 2C level again this year
Ruzicka can slide in as the 3, been better since returning
we might be able to grind out a round if we have 2 lines scoring. no chance if it's just the Backlund line

I kind thought Vladar actually tripped him. But either way they put themselves in a bad position by letting him go to the net unimpeded like that. And the other penalties were all good calls.
Vladar has been very good but that goal was pretty stoppable.

I wonder if the Rasmus incident took some of the steam out of the guys.
