They got Jokinen from Arizona.

We got a broken Jokinen from the Coyotes not Panthers. He was steadily declining after the incident with Zednik.

I don’t generally disagree, but didn’t Lucic taking the hit and not retaliating lead to Mangiapane’s goal?

He refuses to give Vladar the starts he has very clearly earned.

Sutter deserves criticism as well as the players. In fact, his refusal to pull Markstrom against the Oilers, and leaving him in the net to totally collapse over that series could be a big part of what we see in Markstrom this year.

I do not see a Huberdeau who isn't trying, I see a Huberdeau who is being told to do things that don't play to his skillset.

One play cannot erase the rest of the game. Lucic was beyond horrible this game.

The Flames have an interesting contract structure. Lots of UFAs next year and in 25/26 they only have 6 players signed. Markstrom, Huberdeau, Kadri, and Weegar could be the tank commanders. Hopefully they aren’t middling again next year and are firmly in or out. Lindholm, Hanifin, and Toffoli could get some decent deadline returns

He came in and was good for us that season. 15 points in 19 games.

Then Brent Sutter showed up, and everything fell apart.

But they don’t score in OT. They can’t and they don’t. It’s sapping their season unfortunately

Well aware the Avs are not a concern for the Flames. I was replying to a thread talking about the Avs being the playoff bar and I don't think they're gonna be in that final spot(or just out) for very long. Hence the "they will pull away very soon" that I posted.

Wild are the central team to focus on for the WC spot and they're down late in a game to the Coyotes. Big result if it holds.

Paying Weegar 6 million (yes I know it kicks in next year) to sit on the bench in OT...great coaching Darryl

Markstrom made a few good saves, but man, he guesses, over commits, and flops so much. He left so many wide open nets in this game and was lucky he didn't get completely lit up.

It would also be nice of the $84 million man could do more than jack ####.

Also, why did the refs force the Flames to make player changes before the Rangers game tying goal? In general, just a bizarrely officiated game.

Minny just lost to the Yotes...gained a point on them

I know people are calculating for 96-98 points but I doubt Minny gets there

There’s a reason we suck in OT. Their entire MO is to throw pucks on net, and in OT that’s the last thing you want to do. It’s SO much easier to generate high danger scoring chances 3 on 3. There’s absolutely no need to chuck low danger shots on net when you can generate a 2 on 1 if you can beat one guy or pick up a missed shot from the other team.

Won’t matter in playoffs though. I bet we win half those games that went to OT this year if it was a playoff game.

Next 4 are against the red wings, senators and sabres

Better pick up at least 6 points

Vegas is plummeting

Scoring less than the Flames too

But I would imagine they make a big acquisition at the TDL to help mediate the loss of stone

I have been saying it for weeks...not all those teams are getting mid 90s in points. IF the Flames get there they will be a playoff team
