Markstrom consistenly over bites on the shooter or the read on the pass. Go back and rewatch the 4th goal he gave himself zero chance to make the save because he flung himself out of position.

When the team has a bad game you need your goalie to be your last line of defence. And ultimately the biggest flaws were on the defendera but when you see the goalie bite like that and leave it so the chances of him making the save were zero anyways its concerning.

Vladar is consistently far better positioned and doesnt oversell as often. Id say Markstrom has far better rebound control. Vladar has trouble eating the puck sometimes which leads to other problems but it seems to be the lesser of the two evils right now.

The big saves he's made tonight aren't because he's been out of position, it's because the defense has been terrible. You want to blame him for 1 goal tonight, fine, but that's about it.

This is 100% on defense.

I think the expectations for Markstrom are so low that people think 18/22 saves against a team this bad is acceptable in a must win game

This is not on him, it's on awful forwards and terrible defensive play.

Yeah, the team is playing like dog shart. But Markstrom flailing and flopping like on the 4th goal isn't helping. Agree the team isn't helping but he goes from making an impossible save to letting in a stinker with way too much regularity.

Dumb mistake after dumb mistake. It’s actually quite shocking to see these kinds of flubs, one after the other.

Pay more attention to the opportunities the Hawks are getting.

I’m okay with people giving him ####. It lets me know which people either are just waiting to jump on him for no reason, or are just dumb.

There’s no doubt that a sub-90% save percentage on the season is not what the team’s looking for, but the defencemen have been horrible in this game.

Scoring 1 goal and playing terrible D is the more concerning part of the game

Move Lucic off line 2...put Coleman there.
 Sutter is just lost.

This is not on Markstrom. The defense is making beer league mistakes.

So now when he makes huge saves it's not always a good thing.

What happened to CP? Have we lost our minds?

It's okay to say this game is not his fault at all and leave it at that.

Not really. Veteran players make mistakes, coaches try to fix those mistakes but it takes time.
