Send Mackey down. I doubt he would be picked up on waivers. He isn’t that great to begin with but sitting him for long periods at a time is not going to improve his game.

On that goal the whole sequences started when he made a bad decision in the other end to try and shoot, which was blocked at short range easily, and went the other way fast, without forward support on D. He needed to put it deep.

I didn't like his shot attempt either that got blocked and eventually led to the goal. That's one time I would have liked a pass over a shot.

I am not on my own here. Go back and watch all the first period intermission interviews where the players talk about not being ready to start. Lots of post game ones as well, you can find them on the Flames talk podcast. But I am sure myself and the actual players are wrong and you are right. Lol.

100% believe Huberdeau is going to progressively improve to being back to himself next season

1.2 ppg over 4 seasons is no small feat. Johnny didn't manage near that over the same time frame. puts you in very elite company and that doesn't just disappear for good because you swapped jerseys with a different system

It will come. I just want to see a more skilled player on the opposite wing when it does .. perhaps Pelts works his way there

He certainly could have, there was also 2 flames in front of the net with traffic. I could see why one would throw it at the net.
