		| While AHS says EMS dispatch is functioning and calls to 911 are not affected, Health Link 811 is only available in a limited capacity.
"Wait times will be longer than usual as we restore full service," said AHS in a statement to CTV News.

In an emergency, people should continue to call 911.

AHS is experiencing a provincial Network outage.

We are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible and will provide updates.

Appears to be an issue with the DNS Name resolution. This service is required for any of our IT systems and many clinical systems to function.

All Clinical systems and Connect Care applications are down.

Connect Care users please refer to Connect Care Manual - Downtime Support.

For those users connecting to the AHS network remotely through Netmotion, to access Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Outlook:

 Disconnect Netmotion.

Close and Relaunch Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Outlook.

Please note: this will not help impacted users on AHS sites.

Alberta Health Services (AHS) continues to experience a network outage, which is impacting some services across the province.

EMS dispatch is functioning with back-up procedures and calls to 911 are not affected. In an emergency, people should continue to call 911.

Our teams are currently using downtime procedures, which are immediately put in place if an electronic system isn’t available. This ensures we can continue to provide patient care.

As a precaution, AHS is postponing some elective, non-urgent surgeries until the outage is resolved. All patients will be contacted directly, and procedures rebooked as soon as possible. Emergency and urgent surgeries are continuing.

Community lab services are also being impacted and will be reduced at some sites. Urgent results are communicated by fax and/or telephone.

My wife is a purchaser for one of the large Hospitals in Edmonton. Couldn't do much of anything until about 2:00 today when the system they use came back online.

Majority of AHS cpu systems were not back until last night for many services (they, of course, prioritized ICUs, emerg, etc first) - today will be rough for many parts of the healthcare system.
