Not sure if this was posted yet, but after a big win it would be nice to have some fun and positivity around here. Maybe after the start and game they had today Cohen should do this for every home game??

If you’re going to do that at least be transparent with where you played. And I can assure you that unless you were drafted into the NHL nobody here is going to care where you played.
It’s because he likely didn’t play and can probably hardly skate, but yet a hockey specialist…..if he actually played it wouldn’t be a secret

I usually avoid game threads but now I'm going to have to avoid PGTs too? You'd think we lost the game with all the negativity and bickering going on in this thread.

what an age we live in where the coach saying a young player "has a ways to go" sets off this kinda firestorm

just get the Snow's kid to do the pressers, who cares

We will see what Sutter thinks when we see the lineup Monday, I'm guessing he earned another game

Sutter is old school, he isn't going to cheerlead because he doesn't want guys to get complacent.

Most pro athletes were pushed like this by their parents

Making broad sweeping generalizations about big groups of people isn’t usually a winner.

Was working and didn't see any of the game. Caught the post game show on the drive home and thought Sutter's comments were especially moody today, especially after what everyone was describing as maybe the most complete game of the year.

Seeing the video version, I can see how he was likely trolling the reporter, that didn't come across on the audio only.
Maybe he was trying to be cheeky, but the comments didn't come off well. Maybe he didn't intend to be a jerk, but poor choice of words at the least.

I came to the PGT to see if anyone else thought Sutter was over the line, and looks like it was noticed by many.

Nice win. Hopefully it fills their confidence reservoirs.

Again they seem to score when Darth is in net. If they are in the hunt do they even give markstrom anymore critical starts?

Good to see dube score.

Flames get a couple of friendly bounces for a change.

Coleman looked inspired.

Nice game with resiliency. After that two goal lead change by the lightning I was concerned but credit to this group in this trying season.

To be clear i don't think everyone thay works in those industries are bad people that support hazing or sexisim.

But I also know from being close to those industries, and having loved ones impacted by those industries, that hazing, sexisim, and toxic masculinity is very rampant in those industries and is very much a problem still.

You are right though in that I shouldn't have made a generalization about the people that work in the industry (which wasn't my intention) because there are a lot of good people, that do a lot of good that work in those industries.

More trying to make a comment about the bad things still rampant in those industries that negatively impact the good men and women that work in those industries and public services.

Buff's comment just came across so much as something ive heard from people in those industries that comes off as "Hazing is fine, you guys are just soft. Nothing wrong with trapping someone in a freezer for 30 minutes to prove they are tough. If they quit just proves they aren't tough enough for this job." (True story BTW)

Apologies to Buff and any others it may have offended.

I think this post really shows how fundamental our disagreements are. I simply don't understand how you can watch that post game press conference, see the comments on here, and conclude people are upset because Sutter said Pelletier "has a ways to go".

I have to believe that you are either purposely downplaying the frustrations against Sutter, or you are just willfully ignorant and don't want to accept that our coach made a mistake.

It's posts like this that really show me some people can't be reasoned with.

The fans and media in Calgary are such easy marks. My goodness.

Darryl Sutter is the Norm MacDonald of hockey.

Wait, so if the Oilers only beat the lightning by one goal

And the Flames beat them by 3

Does that make the Flames 3x more good than the now good Oilers??

They even "locked down a lead"!

Spector??
