Avs lose!

Makar banked the winner off his own player and in...Tkachuk got credit

You can argue they are still dealing with injuries, but they had key injuries last year too and it didn't derail them like this. Looks like they lost more talent in the offseason than they realized.

Avs are still missing Landeskog, Nichuskin and Byram. If they can get healthy, they will be fine.

Crazy game in Carolina. The Hurricanes had 3-1 lead in which two of their goals were scored while shorthanded. The Devils turned it on afterwards and scored 4 straight even strength goals to win. Both teams were perfect on the PK.

Malkin had 4 points in their comeback to defeat the Canucks. The goalie change for the Penguins was a good one with Tokarski taking over. The Canucks PP was bad as they went 0/5 and had a 36 second 2 man advantage.

The Avs had a great comeback but fell short as the Panthers get a late PPG by Tkachuk who had 2 goals in the game. Special teams came up big for the Panthers as they went 2/2 on the PP and 3/3 on the PK.

The Red Wings with a 7-5 win over the Jets. Moritz Seider with 4 assists in the win. Hellebuyck didn't have a great game in net for the Jets. He let in 6 goals on 22 shots.
