The number of OTLs would be comical if it wasn’t sad. We might set the record

Who's gonna want him at his age and contract with how he's playing? We're stuck with him unless an offseason move can be made.

That's a spectacular save if he makes it. D is supposed to take away the pass goalie makes the save neither happened.

Huberdeau is always doing things unexpected when he doesn't need. Is there an opportunity to make a good pass? Why not throw a spinorama into it, just because. Who cares if it screws up the play.

He sure looks great when stuff like that works, but this year it isn't working.

Someone mentioned fan apathy in the game thread. This game perfectly encapsulates why it's happening. Bad goaltending sinks the team... again. We fail to put a team away and keep the game closer than it should be... again. We get to OT, show 0 composure with the puck and lose when the other team confidently buries a scoring chance... again.

This isn't an easy team to get excited for right now. We don't score easily, and we blow tons of leads because it feels like most mistakes end up in our net.

Points in 15/19 is solid, but the club's repetitive, predictable issues sure do make it hard to get excited about their chances of making any noise come April.

Yep. Markstrom is a sieve but this team can’t score goals. A shell of last year’s team. That team was routinely blowing teams out with the best line in hockey. This team is the definition of pedestrian.

Huberdeau is weak on the puck and is not physical enough to make play. He should not be in OT at all.

Markstrom to the IR with "skill-centric amnesia."

Same thing as the Chicago game. Once they tied it up it was a brand new game.

Why can't you just score one more against the worst team in the West?

I’m done with our veterans being given spots because they have experience. This team is lacking scoring power and finish. Almost zero creativity. Just seems like perimeter/point shots all game.

I feel like the Flames need to just go for the shootout because they can't do anything 3v3. Another OT loss ...

Markstrom has a knack for letting stinker goals in at the exact time as to let the opposition back into the game.

And when you're 6 foot 6 isn't it better to stay on your feet rather than flailing wildly on that overtime goal?

Its statistical fact that the team scores more and plays better in front of Vladar, who in his limited starts has also played the more difficult teams. It is well past the point to start giving Vladar the reigns.

Flames have won 19 games and lost 23. That just isn’t the record of a good hockey team.

He’s also scared to skate the puck thru the neutral zone up the ice
