Severson wins it.

Unassisted to boot. Breaks up Lafreniere's play then goes all the way.

I've become convinced that the Hughes family is the result of clandestine genetic experiments being conducted in the South American jungle.

Devils have that franchise guy in Hughes, a guy who can be a #1 centre on many other teams in Hischier and a dynamic winger in Bratt. Thing is they've been slipping badly defensively in the last few months.

Many of their d-men committing brutal turnovers in horrible spots multiple times the last number of games. Sort of like how they played consistently their previous 3 years.

Rare instance of the Canes being under seige in their own zone.

Another dumb penalty committed by Svechnikov.

Edit: LOL And it costs them a goal. Marchenko again.

Johnny's being ripped pretty hard by Finnish broadcast analysts. They're saying he looks like a player that has got his paycheck secured and is not engaged in trying to win

Carolina is probably a good comporable to us in terms of style of play they have the volume as well but don't score a ton. Biggest difference between us as it reflects in the record is the goals against.

Peeke can't get it out of the zone and Brady Skjei buries it. Tie game.

Pacioretty again. 3-2 Canes.

Off Gavrikov's stick and past Korpisalo.

2 quick goals, both on the PP and the Jackets lead is gone. Canes lead 3-2.

Korpisaalo is the reason the game is close.
The shots are 34-15 in favour of the Hurricanes.
