What's CPs love affair with Stankhoven all about? Did the Flames pass on him?

Yes, they did, for Stromgren. But he's also probably been Canada's second-best player all tournament long so a lot of it is probably just in recognition of that.

Let's win by a big enough margin that one controversial call doesn't end up mattering.

Why would they play the relegation games in the same arena as the semis? Bad enough to have 2 played same day but 3? So dumb.

It’s mostly just Scorp. He’s loved him since before the draft (and to be fair to Scorp he was right).

He also played with Zary on Blazers, so Flames saw him play plenty

At the very least bring in some auxiliary cooling to reduce the heat load on the plant between games. (Not sure if they did or not?)

I want Canada to score 2 more, at least. So USA can't whine about the no goal.

Bob's right. That's the way I saw it, too.

Roy is probably the 2nd best player on the team behind Bedard, can't think of any boneheaded passes or positional lapses while pretty much always being in the right spot in the offensive zone. Stankoven has been pretty good but like most of Canada's defense, makes some really risky/dumb passes that almost always end up going the other way

Snuggarud (the d seems to be silent) is my new favorite hockey name.

His father played in the NHL as well. As a kid I thought it was a pretty funny name.

And why is relegation best of 3? The gold medals should be best of 3!

I think he means 3 games in the same arena in one day is messing with the ice. The commentators mentioned it too.
