Just finished The Old Man.
No idea what it's on in Canada, it's Hulu here.
It's excellent to start, then lost me a bit as it went, but still definitely recommend. Jeff Bridges was excellent.

Really wish there were more shows created as a limited series. The Old Man would have been better served that way IMO. A few other examples out there.

Agree 100%
Was a great story that could/should have been fully told in X episodes. I will add Yellowjackets into that category too.
I found the present day story in that show to be extremely dull, and when I realized that there was no way we'd be seeing any sort of leadup to the crazy #### they showed in the pilot in the first season I checked out. Interesting concept that they're dragging out way too much

We're halfway through 'The Recruit' on Netflix and enjoying it. Very brisk pacing and good performances, good action every episode. Kind of one of those "the main character is kind of a POS but every other character is really a POS so you end up rooting for him" types.
So I figured I'd give this a swing. Two episodes in and I'd say that I'm liking this show.
So far no 'swinging for the fences' craziness, but I like the overall character dynamics and each episode feels well done.
And oddly...it feels weird seeing Garrett not in a wheelchair...

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.
On our way to starting Slow Horses we got side tracked by another AppleTV+ series 'Bad Sisters'. Sharon Horgan (Catastrophe) is creator/producer/writer/actor in this dark comedy. Highly recommended. Was really fun

Yes, we finished Bad Sisters over Christmas. Some really good characters and the actor playing JP is one of the most accomplished purveyors of Dbaggery I’ve ever seen.

“The Capture” on Prime is a decent British thriller about cctv and imaging technology… I preferred the first season, but the second is still pretty good. It was a nice find as I haven’t heard anything about it before.
Damn good despite some plot holes and logical inconsistencies. Owen goes from full on melt down panic attack to super suave nothing can touch him nerves of steel guy. It's hilarious but also jarring at times.
Evelyn Salt better not be dead she is the best thing about the show.

I read your spoiler just cuz I'm curious about the inception of this show.
I thought it was an off-shoot of The Recruit starring Colin Farrel and Al Pacino. But your mention of Salt makes me think it's an off-shoot of SALT with Angelina Jolie. Or are these now a blended thing?

The character Max Meladze reminds me of Evelyn Salt, when you watch the show you'll know what I mean. There is no official tie-in.
Is it based on the Colin Farrel movie? I do like that movie.
Not in any way that I can tell, in actuality it seems to imply that our secondary character is 'The Recruit' rather than the main character.
But I actually really enjoyed it. My favourite character was Janus Ferber, the random office guy who has been there too long and is just perpetually frazzled and fried.
"Have you ever had a Panic Attack?"
Janus: "I've had one going since 2018, you get used to it."
He was the best. A close second was Lester who brings a lot of the Comedy to it, played by Colton Dunn of 'Superstore' fame.
Its not going to blow you away but its a good series thats lots of fun.
