Beyond early. Pump the brakes

They beat Austria 11-0

Let’s see how he does against meaningful competition

Not unusual for commentators to talk about players with unreal talent.

Absolutely terrible decision to pick Stormgren over him, I understand if there was some excuse that they did not have a good look at him... but he played with Zary on a line.

To be fair he will probably play for the Starts next year while if he was with the Flames he would not get to play till Sutter left

This kid out there puts up 2.33 points per game as a 14 year old in an under 18 prep league, gets granted exceptional status and is then drafted 1st overall in the bantam draft then he scores 50+ goals as a 16 year old in the WHL, then he runs away with the WHL scoring race as a 17 year old with over 2 points per game, and now he's threatening to set all time scoring records at the world junior under 20's as a 17 year old who hasn't even been drafted yet.....and the media and hockey announcers have the gall to fawn over this kid??!!

What a bunch of morons amirite?

I say save the excitement for a player that's really special, not this flash in the pan.

Yup, when you look at draft eligible prospects there seems to be one a decade that is really special.

70's Gretzky
80's Lemieux
90's Lindros
00's Crosby
10's Mcdiver
20's (so far) Bedard

Not like it's just a typical 1st overall here, this kid is special. He deserved the media attention at the world juniors.

There are more important things than hockey in the world, but it is a huge shame we couldn't see Michkov at this tournament as well. Fantili and Carlsson have been underwhelming and Bedard has been unbelievable. I think Michkov is still close to Bedard in skill.

Edit - It was Dach.

Lol at the double standard when it comes to the commentators fawning over McDavid vs Bedard

39-18 shots for Canada.

Pretty much total domination 5 on 5

Connor Bedard. I'm all aboard the bandwagon.

If you're not excited for him to join an NHL team you're likely an Oiler fan who is jealous of the attention Bedard is getting.

I’m excited for Bedard too and trying to see when he’s in town to catch a WHL game but it’s still a double standard when it comes to discussing McD and Bedard.

18 points in 4 games, absolutely insane. Really hope he joins a team that deserves him. Ottawa or Arizona would be nice
