Puljujarvi + Holloway + 1st and 3rd

Not much value in that package, outside of maybe Holloway. Is Pulju still considered a prospect at this point?

God I hope they give up the 1st coming up a 2nd and Holloway. Be awesome if Yamamoto went as well.

If it’s looking like the Flames are getting into the playoffs and they go after a rental winger. I hope it’s Patrick Kane

I think, realistically, we need another 4-5 d man over a RW. I think he RW is a piece you add when you're 1-2 in the division, not fighting for a wild card. I think this season has shown how tenuous we can be on d with injuries. If they make the playoffs I expect that depth to be tested again.

I’m not sure, I’d rather roll with Stone/Mackey/Meloche/Gilbert/Desimone instead of adding a forbort/fantenberg type guy again. Especially if Kylington is possibly in the fold
If one or two of our dmen are injured seriously come deadline time, then I’d like them to but otherwise I don’t want them to keep trading picks for guys who don’t move the needle

I feel like that isn’t enough, JP is negative value and he isn’t getting qualified next year so he’s a dump. I’m guessing it would have to be,
JP + Holloway + 2023 1st + Broberg
Oilers fans and media greatly over value Broberg, he hasn’t been good at any level since his draft year. Likely destined to be a third pairing guy.

I don't see the need for another top six forward when we have a 23 year old 6'4 /220 pound player on pace for 64 points currently playing on our 4th line and under 10 minutes a game recently. Maybe, just maybe, give him the minutes he has earned and deserves.

Ya. Leave the lindholm and Backlund lines. Then put Ruzicka with Kadri and Huby.
The fourth line is important and we can add there from the farm or at the deadline.

The cost would be exceptionally high, even given the very unlikely event he would waive to come here.

I think it would be a win for them if someone just took him for nothing

If the potential is there for Treliving to burn more assets we can't afford to give up I'd rather we miss the playoffs. This team is going to need some young players on good contracts next year to supplement the big contracts coming on stream. I'd prefer we keep all of Zary, Pelletier, Coronato, Wolf, Kuznetsov, and Poirier. I'd also prefer we kept all the picks we can because our system is pretty barren. Giving any of those assets away only to get our heads caved in would be a bad move. I don't see a difference maker available for what we have to offer without crippling the future.

Agreed. I'd go as far as saying if we are 6-8 points out around the deadline I hope we sell a few guys for some picks. Hopefully add a 2nd in the next 2 years.

Divisional spot is 5 points up and the Flames have 2 games in hand
that will be 3 points with 2 games in had if the Flames can win tomorrow...They could easily be in a divisional spot near the trade deadline. Probably not 1 but 2 or 3 and who cares which it is honestly.

Even if this team goes on a run over the next 25 games that puts them in contention for the division I would rather they not unload any futures for rentals. They are not in a spot like last year to trade for a multi year piece like they did last year with Toffoli. Bargain shopping is fine but no more big swings unless it is a long term move. After last year’s turnover unless there is something going on in the room then let it be

This team can’t afford to give up any more picks. At the moment they aren’t close to being a Cup contender. Another non-core piece isn’t going to put them over the top.
Buying last year was fine, because the team looked great. Not so much this year.
