Default December 14, just two games.

The Wednesday OOT is a quiet one with a doubleheader on both networks which includes the Canucks-Flames game!
See Cheese's awesome GDT for that game.

Everytime I see them I feel obligated to say the Minnesota Wild reverse retro jerseys are simply the best. Gorgeous and should be their full time home jersey.

Also the announcers wondering aloud why no Red Wing went after Reaves following the Hronek hit makes me laugh

Hockey fans who have no idea how the rules work insisting that Reaves should be suspended make me laugh harder.

Keep your head up son. Wow.

Have to say though, it looks like the head was the point of contact.

This is my point - people saying #### like that. Drives me nuts. That isn't how the rule works.

It does not matter if the head is the main point of contact, if the hit is otherwise legal (i.e. not charging, not elbowing and not late) and contact with the head was not avoidable. The NHL DOPS has explained that avoidable means that if you're hitting straight through the guy rather than picking the head or timing the hit badly so that the head gets the brunt force of it, then the contact to the head is considered unavoidable. This is a textbook example of that.

The DOPS actually released a video about this, and googling it it looks like it came out in 2018 but I can't get it to play on the NHL website, probably because their player is garbage: https://www.nhl.com/video/the-nhl-do...360/c-60017103
