WOW, people love throwing the word genocide around easily. BTW, do you work for Fox News?
Did he sent Russian troop to Ukraine?

Fox News? Wouldn't they present a pro Russian slant because of their GOP support? I'm genuinely asking as I don't watch them. But anyone I know that is far right/QAnon is full pro Russia and loaded with bad/incorrect/conspiracy laden views on the invasion.

#796 tonight.
We probably see 800 before Christmas. Maybe even 803 to beat Howe.

A legitimate question of whether Ovechkin can beat Gretzky's record in fewer game.
Would take 95 goals in 181 games (and a period). A 43 goal pace over two years but he's currently on pace for 50 or so this year.

After the lock out year he played 5 games and got 0 goals and 1 assist, so retired because he couldn’t play at the level he expected.

Brett Hull also used the lockout to train in weight gains. He figured he'd use the training camp to get into shape, like the good 'ol days, and after a few regular season games realized, he just didn't care about doing what it takes to compete at a high level.
Alexander Ovechkin has reason to keep going and keep competing at a high level so you can't really compare Hull in his later years (aged 38 to 41) to Ovechkin (36)right now.

Iginla is in the top 10 all time in era adjusted goals - with 625.
800 is just absurd. He’s clearly still very capable of scoring goals at 36.
And he missed a season and a half due to lockouts, and another half season due to COVID.
Greatest goal scorer of all time, and I don’t think it’s particularly close.
It doesn’t seem like all that long ago when I was wondering if Ovechkin would EVER pass Iginla, and it seemed plausible that he wouldn’t.

He still has half a season left. He could end the season at 820 with a 40 goal season and that's two 40 goal seasons away from 900. That would be something.
Easily the best goal scorer ever.

He's 37 though! Might score 50 this year. Best goal scorer ever

Even Hull managed 37 goals at age 38 in the midst of the dead puck era (albeit stacked Red Wings). If anything he's an argument in favour of Ovi being able to maintain a high pace.

Backstrom is also back skating. If he can come back and be half the playmaker he was, Ovi will have no trouble at all.
