Tolvanen is generally a one dimensional player who has failed to be able to do that one dimension at the nhl level

I see no appeal at all in tolvanen. We have multiple players still in the ahl with much better stat progression than this player.

I never liked Tolvanen, even back to his draft year. I’m not surprised he hasn’t carved out a place in the NHL yet.

Good. See what you have in Zahorna and Phillips before changing things again.

Rumor is the Horvat offer was less than $64 million over 8 years... Easy 8x8 if we had the space for him

Interesting pickup for Seattle. Not sure they really need him but the price was right I guess.

Basically he probably has to be better than Daniel Sprong who is a similarly one-dimensional-but-not-very-good-at-that-one-thing kind of player.
Edit: He has 15 points in 20 games this season. Pretty good.

Waived Kuhlman and Donskoi is hurt so its possible they just want a warm body but don't trust the farm? Don't trust Wright enough to keep him up after the WJC?

I'm curious as to why? If he wasn't cutting it on a meh Nashville offence, what makes you think he could provide anything for us in a lesser role?
*Albeit our offence is quite meh this season in it's own regard.

Yeah, Sprong has been good so far. He's producing more consistently, but also playing with a lot more energy. Before, he would only be noticed if he was given the puck because he really does have an elite shot. This year, he seems to be forechecking and digging for pucks more. He may have finally figured it out.

Natural right wing and a hope that he would connect with Huberdeau than anything. Although, I am not super sold on Philips mostly due to size.
I'm not surprised he didn't get claimed by the Flames though.

I think they're ramping Wright up the right way for this season. He's going to go to the WJC gain a bunch of confidence and not look back.

I just don’t think Wright is ready, WJC or not.
