His coverage of the Wranglers has been phenomenal. Follow him on twitter, dude has a career ahead of himself.

Something that Treliving has never been shy to do is to "cut his losses" and make corrections promptly.

Well, they are. Kylington last year; Ruzicka this year; now Phillips on the roster.
This narrative about the Flames just burying their prospects and never giving them any opportunities to play or succeed is utter nonsense.

The signing was fine. He's filler.

Agreed, we're just over a quarter of the way into the season and it seems like Ruzicka has cemented his spot, now Phillips and perhaps Zahorna getting their shot.. still plenty of time to see even more guys from the Farm potentially depending on injuries and chemistry.

You don't want to bring kids in when the team is losing and expect them to be saviours. That's way too much pressure and destined to fail. They are winning games and heading on the road so this is a great time to call them up.

Dylan "Hollywood" has had a great start to his NHL career...

I’d happily trade Rooney to the Rags for Carpenter. Carpenter is making league minimum, one year deal. Both clear waivers, send Rooney back to NY if they love him so much

I would just send him to the minors if he clears.
If injuries occur, recall him later.
If the Rangers want him, they can claim him

With the Phillips call up...we as a fan base should recognize our power and re-concentrate into getting Scorpion into Eric Francis's gigs. A month long call up to replace Francis on EVERYTHING Flames he does...even his self glorifying charity work.
We'd all be in a better position come Feb 2023.

What about a trade of Rooney for Kravtsov. Flames save a little cap, get a player with some upside.

Surely the Avs must have someone they can call up instead.

You might not like Francis but there is no need to make light of his charity work. He does a lot for charity. I don’t know you but I can safely say he does far more for charity than you ever will .
