I blame both
Anderson needlessly shoveled the puck at Markstrom and he took offense by sticking him. It wasn't a slash, it was simply not being a doormat for a known meathead. Said meathead circled around and reinforced his meathead reputation by headfaking the goalie. Good on the team for standing up for their tender.

The officials flubbed the call and it cost the Flames.

PP1 is so bad. No strategy, no movement. It’s bizarre.

Low percentage shots, even on the PP.

He gave away a free goal, has a sub 900 save percentage, and has been the second best goalie again. I’d say it’s on him

There is not one player on the Flames who can snipe and one time it. It’s been years.

Ref wasn’t calling anything on Markstrom or Anderson on the play.

Shots and traffic please. Getting late for pretty plays that aren't working.

Who is coaching the powerplay. All I see is them passing it around the exterior. No one trying to go to the slot or tough areas.

Maybe we settle too much for shots from the perimeter or shots that have no visual obstruction of the goalie.

We should allow more shots. Then it wouldn’t seem as bad that we’re losing.
