Lazy penalty by Backlund in the offensive zone. He lazily put his stick near the skates of the defensemen and he stepped on the stick.
Markstrom’s fault.

So Sutter from ToI today has seemingly realized that the fourth line sucks and he’s burying them. That is a good start. Now they just need to make the jump to realize the top nine is also not good enough. And that can only be fixed by trade or call up. Hopefully someone realizes this before the season slips away.

Markstrom lit the fuse (or Anderson you could argue). If Markstrom has a cool head there, nothing comes from it.
