Great write-up as always. Actually, they're getting better - they are more readable and flow better than last year.
Agree about Mangiapane - the effort is there, but he was all over the place offensively, and it was rarely the right place.
If high danger chances say the Flyers had more, then high danger chances are terrible at what they are trying to do. The Flames had the better looks all night. And when the Flyers did get the puck to the middle, shots were rushed and more often than not were just banged at.
I thought Weegar was great. I also thought Huberdeau was effective and creative, and the stats seem to back that up. Great to have a nice calm game from Markstrom.

Flyers had more on their powerplays than Calgary did on theirs. The five on five game was even Steven at 7, a low event game.
The shot map shows that Calgary had more shots from the slot, but those are scoring chances and not high danger if they're not created on a pass, deflection or rebound.

And I'll add this ...
With Sutter's desire to have Weegar on the right side does Gilbert stay in when Stone is healthy?
He's only getting 10+ minutes a night.
He's sheltered as all get up.
But he leads the team with the lowest xGA60 of any defenseman this year.
He's 1st in SCA60
He's 2nd in HDCA60
and he scraps!

Taking a while to get to 5000

If Gilbert stays and Stone sits, do they dare waive Mackey? Would anyone take him at this point?

3 in 5 games is it?
Seems to be able to find the right guy to go with each time to.
I like his game as well...keeps it simple.
Pretty good signing considering whats happened on the blue line thus far.

No one would claim him.
Mackey has really struggled in the games he played this year.

Comes down to most likely to be claimed I think as I'm assuming they're not in a hurry to lose more NHL depth.
a) guy with very little track record but more tread
b) guy that nobody has wanted but has found some offence
