You have to choose the waive and send down option as opposed to just the send down option since he is 24 years old.

Well two issues
- Make sure you select "waive and send down" not just "send down to the AHL"
- Your AHL is over the max roster so you probably need to release a couple guys first. You are at 26 players down there, the max is 24. So you need to release 3 if you want room to send someone down.

Interesting I did click "waive and send down" and the website says I have 22 players on my AHL roster

ECHL has 12 but I assume that doesn't count against my AHL roster

I looked at the wrong team. You are right, you have room. So it's the first issue. Make sure you pick the right action.
